After another few rounds of lovemaking, Frazier and Rylee were ready to settle in for the night. He loved the idea of having her in his arms all night. She had told him about the negligee her best friend Sheryl had given her and he was glad she’d packed it for this trip.
With her body, snug and naked next to his, he tightened his hold on her. “Just so you know, I’m used to Electra reading me to sleep every night on theUnwindapp.”
“Really?”
“Yes. I’m afraid I’m a little hooked on her. I guess you’re going to have to get used to there being three people in our bedroom at night,” he said grinning.
She grinned back. “I’m not sure I like that, Frazier. Maybe I’ll have to start reading to you at bedtime.”
He laughed. “I don’t know. Electra is pretty tough competition.”
“Well, we’ll just see about that,” she said, pulling away from him. She got out of bed and crossed the room to dig something out of her luggage. Frazier watched as she came back to bed carrying a book. “I started reading this on the plane.”
She sat cross-legged in the middle of the mattress with the book in her lap. “Now close your eyes, Frazier, and let me read to you. I promise this book will put you to sleep.”
He chuckled. “It’s that boring, huh?”
“Not at all. Now close your eyes.”
“Alright.”
And then she began reading. After just two lines, he opened his eyes and jerked up in bed. He stared at her, and she looked back with a smug grin on her face. He shook his head. “No. No way. You aren’t… You can’t be...”
Her smile widened. “Oh, but I am.”
“Electra? You are Electra?” At her nod, he said, “Really?”
She threw her head back and laughed. “Yes, Frazier, I am Electra. Really. I told you that I’m leaving Connelly Enterprises to do something with books. Well, this is it. I’ve been narrating books for five years now, thanks to my best friend Sheryl.”
Frazier shook his head, still having a hard time believing it. The woman who’d been reading him bedtime stories every night was the same woman he’d fallen in love with. His Rylee was also his Electra.
“Come here, baby.” When he reached out for her, she came into his arms. “That’s incredible. So damn wonderful. Now I’ll have Electra in my bedroomandin my bed.”
She tightened her arms around his neck. “Yes, you will, Frazier. Whenever you want.”
Frazier knew that would be all the time. Leaning in, he kissed the woman he loved.

Rylee and Frazier enjoyed themselves so much in Toronto, they stayed an extra day.
She’d never thought loving a man would be wonderful, but Frazier made it that way. They were still taking things slow, but not in the bedroom. They were all-in there and he had no problem helping her make up for lost time.
The following Tuesday morning, she knew something was up the moment she walked into her office. Everyone got so quiet, and all eyes were on her. What in the world?
It didn’t take long for her to discover what the stares were all about. She’d barely settled in at her desk when Trish breezed into her office. “You’ve been keeping secrets, Rylee.”
Rylee lifted a brow. “I have? And just what secrets have I been keeping?”
Trish dropped a copy of that morning’s paper in the middle of her desk. On the front page, there was a picture of her and Frazier that had been taken at the banquet last week in Toronto.
Before she could ask, Trish said, “It came across wire service. I didn’t know you and Mr. Connelly were involved in a secret affair.”
Rylee leaned back in the chair. “It’s not a secret. Frazier and I have been seeing each other since that charity event.”
Trish frowned. “Well, I didn’t know.”
Rylee shrugged. “We didn’t broadcast it, because we were taking our time, getting to know each other better.”
