“I didn’t tell you everything. There is something else I need for you to know, even though there’s a chance that once I tell you, you might want to put me back on the jet and send me home tomorrow.”
What on earth could she possibly tell him that would make her think he would do such a thing? “What is it?”
She nervously licked her lips, which stirred up something in the pit of his stomach. When she didn’t say anything, he reached out and pushed back a lock of hair from her face, admiring the beauty of her long lashes, perfect nose and those damn kissable lips. “Please, Rylee. You can tell me anything.”
She hesitated a moment, then said, “I’ve fallen in love with you, Frazier.”
RYLEE KNEW SHE SHOULDnot have admitted her feelings, but she was too old to play games with a man. From the way he was staring at her, she had no idea what he was thinking. But she knew she needed to assure him of something.
“I don’t expect you to feel the same way, Frazier. In fact, I know you don’t and never will. And you’re probably wondering how I can love you when we’ve only spent a weekend together. Trust me, I’ve questioned it myself, but it is what it is. I just wanted you to know.”
When he still didn’t say anything, Rylee got to her feet. “You can use the connecting door to leave.” Then she headed toward the bedroom, figuring he would call in the morning to let her know when to be ready to go home.
“Where do you think you’re going, Rylee?”
Frazier’s question had her turning around. She would think it would be obvious. “I’m going to my room to pack.”
“Why?” he asked, getting to his feet and walking over to her.
“I figured what I said made you uncomfortable.”
“It didn’t.” He reached up and gently cupped her chin. “But I’ll admit, your words did shock me, for a moment. Because I’ve fallen in love with you too, Rylee.”
His words surprised her. “What! You couldn’t have.”
A smile touched his lips. “Oh, trust me, I have. For years, I thought loving a woman was beyond me, but you proved me wrong. Nothing has changed between us, other than we now know just how solid our relationship is. It is built on love. Still, I won’t rush you into anything.”
A mischievous smile curved the corners of her mouth. “Then I guess, Frazier Connelly, that I’m going to have to be the one to rush you.” She rose up on her tiptoes and brushed his lips with hers, then proceeded to kiss him the way she liked to do, the way she knew he liked, too.
Rylee knew Frazier was struggling to remain in control, but she refused to let him. Earlier today, he had given her a special gift while fully clothed. Now she wanted to experience it again, this time, naked in his arms. She continued to kiss him, using her tongue to pleasure him and knew it was working when she heard him moan.
Suddenly, he swept her into his arms and when he headed back toward the sofa, she said, “No. The bedroom.”
He stopped walking and stared down at her. “Are you sure?”
“Oh, yes, Frazier. I am definitely sure.”
He changed course and entered the bedroom, then placed her on the bed and joined her there. When he took her mouth again, she could feel heat going all through her body. She pulled back from the kiss when she felt sensations beginning to race through her.
She met his gaze. “When I come this time, Frazier, I want you inside me.”
“Say no more, baby.”
He quickly moved off the bed and began undressing, first unbuttoning his shirt and then removing his pants and the rest of his clothes. She had seen him last weekend in swimming attire and thought he looked sexy then. Seeing him naked now made it hard for her to breathe. He was gorgeous.
“Now it’s your turn, Rylee.” It didn’t take much time for him to remove her dress and her barely-there panties and bra. When he uncovered her feminine mound, he reached out and stroked her, making her moan in anticipation.
“I can’t wait any longer. I want you inside me, Frazier.”
Rylee watched as he quickly sheathed a condom before joining her again on the bed. Moving over her, he leaned in and kissed her.
When she felt the head of his shaft at her opening, she looked up and their gazes held. She knew, in that moment, that she would love Frazier forever. It hadn’t been meant for her to be with anyone else. Just him.
When he didn’t move his body, but just stared down at her as if he intended to memorize this moment, she shifted her hips in invitation. Finally, he let out a guttural groan and thrust deep inside of her. When he began moving, pleasure like she’d never felt before rushed through her. His thrusts were hard and fast, taking her, claiming her. And when he took her mouth again, that was it. An orgasm slammed through her, making her body feel as if it was exploding into a thousand pieces.
She pulled her mouth away from his to scream out her pleasure and he soon hollered out his own climax. At that moment, there was no place she’d have rather been than in the arms of the man she loved.
