“Frazier, I…” She wasn’t sure what she should say, but when she shifted her body, she felt it. His hard erection was pressing against her backside.
She swallowed deeply when warm fingers cupped her chin, turning her head to look at him. What she saw in the dark depths of his eyes nearly made her groan. How could one man be so irresistible?
Without saying anything, they leaned toward each other. It was as if they needed to let their bodies do the talking. This time, their kisses weren’t as hungry as they’d been before, but were slower, deeper…more meaningful. She felt the effects of the kiss in every part of her body and when she felt her desire for him rising again, she pulled her mouth away.
“Rylee…” he said, resting his forehead against hers. “What am I going to do with you?”
She had some ideas but decided to keep them to herself. Hadn’t she told Sheryl all the reasons she and Frazier needed to take things slow? Though, as much as she hated to admit it, she’d needed that orgasm. Her body felt alive for the first time in years.
“I think that we need to get out of this room,” she said.
The sound of his chuckle caressed her skin. “That’s a good idea. Are you ready for lunch? The banquet isn’t until eight.”
“I just need to freshen up.”
“Alright.” He placed her on her feet. “I’ll be waiting.”
Rylee quickly moved toward the connecting door. But before she walked through it, the words Frazier had spoken made her turn back around.I’ll be waiting.
She realized that yes, he would be waiting for her. Not only to return, but to make the next move. Because he wouldn’t. He was letting her set the pace and decide how far they would go.
He simply stood there, his hands shoved in the pockets of his slacks, watching her in a way that made her panties even wetter than they already were. Her gaze scanned over him, and she saw how aroused he still was.
“Is anything wrong, Rylee?” he asked.
She shook her head. “No, there’s nothing wrong.”
As she entered her own hotel suite, though, Rylee knew the truth. If what happened between them was up to her, Frazier wouldn’t have to wait much longer.
ROLAND WAS IN THEkitchen preparing steaks for the grill and trying not to dwell on the fact that he and Lennox had only a few days left before they had to return to Charlottesville. It was hard to believe how quickly time had passed. But they were trying to pack as much as they could into their final days together.
Like the amount of their lovemaking.
He and Lennox both knew what to expect when they returned home. They would go their separate ways and the days and nights they had spent together in each other’s arms would become memories. When they were together, often in bed, he tried not to think about it. But at times like this, when he was alone, he had trouble thinking of anything else.
They had made love earlier and he’d left her in bed sleeping, like he normally did. She needed all her energy for the next round. However, he intended to feed her first. When he heard a noise, he looked over to the staircase and saw Lennox descending. She still had that sleepy look and was totally beautiful. She smiled when she saw him.
“You could have woken me up to help you with dinner.”
“I thought it best to let you sleep.”
She yawned. “Thanks, I needed it.”
He figured she had. Storing up as much pleasure as they could was draining. Back in Charlottesville, they would both resume their lives, which meant they eventually would start dating. But the thought of her meeting someone--of being pleasured by him--left a bad taste in his mouth.
She began walking toward him and he knew exactly how to wipe the bad taste away. “Kiss me, Lennox,” he whispered huskily.
Smiling, she wrapped her arms around his neck then leaned in to kiss him. She might have intended for it to be a chaste kiss, but he needed more if he was going to forget the scene he’d just imagined. So he slid his tongue between her lips, drawing out her passion.
He loved her taste and wondered how he would do without it in the days ahead. There was so much passion in her mouth, but then, there was a lot of passion in her entire body. Roland often wondered what made Lennox so special. How could she make him need her so damn badly?
When she angled her mouth, as if looking for a better fit against his, he could feel the sexual impact of their tongues dueling madly in every pore, cell and pulse. If that wasn’t bad enough, her scent was driving him insane. It was mind-blowingly erotic.
When breathing became a necessity neither of them could ignore, he broke off the kiss and then pressed his forehead against hers, drawing in a deep breath.
They needed to eat, but then they also needed this. Here and now. For them, spontaneity had become the way of lifeand there was nothing like it. He had less than a week to be with her. When he returned to Charlottesville, he would reclaim his senses.
Until then…
