Did it matter why? No. All that mattered was his next kiss. The next touch. The next breathless anticipation. In the next instant, she pushed every thought aside. Nothing mattered but this moment. She wanted it to go on forever. The feeling of his body against hers. His hands on her skin.
“God, you smell good,” he whispered, tracking his lips and tongue along her skin, up to her throat, where he nibbled at her pulse beat.
She tipped her head to one side to give him better access and slid her hands up and down his back. “And oh, you feel good.”
He lifted his head, looked down at her and smiled. “I really do feel good, thanks.”
She laughed and realized that until this time with him, she’d almost never seen his sense of humor. Sadie enjoyed this closeness between them. Beyond the sex, beyond their bodies coming together, this link was everything she’d ever hoped for. This easiness between them was worth everything.
The smiles, the laughter, the shared sighs and the breathless need all combined to make Sadie feel as if she and Ethan really were connecting on a much deeper level than simply physically.
He sat up and pulled away then, reaching for the bedside table. She knew what he was doing and she was all for it. “Hurry up, Ethan.”
He shot her a grin. “We have all night, Sadie. No need to hurry.”
All night. Didn’t that sound wonderful? But for now, she had an ache demanding to be satisfied. She went up on her elbows and tossed her hair back out of her face. “Hurry now, take our time later.”
He sheathed himself with a condom, turned back to her and said softly, “Yes, ma’am.”
Grabbing hold of her butt, he pulled her closer, lifted her legs and draped them over his shoulders. Sadie shifted, writhed, wiggled her hips, anything she could do to entice him to get on with it. She felt as if she were wired so tightly she might just explode, and nobody wanted that.
Then she almost did, the moment his mouth covered her core. She was helpless in his grasp. All she could do was moan and shout and beg for the release he kept just out of reach. Sadie watched him, reached down and ran her fingers through his hair, then held him to her. He licked her, nibbled at her, scoring her center lightly with the edges of his teeth. Again and again, his tongue claimed her, stirring that one sensitive bud until it felt as if it were electrified.
She rocked her hips because it was the only move available to her. He took her higher, faster, than he had before, and Sadie fought for air. She didn’t want to pass out and miss anything about this moment. She couldn’t tear her gaze from him.
His hands kneaded her butt while his mouth tormented her. He didn’t stop, not even when her climax erupted and turned her into a writhing, screaming mess, trying to hold on to the world so she wouldn’t fall off.
Before the last ripple had coursed through her, Ethan dropped her to the mattress and claimed her body in one long, hard stroke. Sadie felt shattered. As if she’d come apart and now he was tormenting the jagged pieces. And she moved into him to make him go faster, deeper.
He set a rhythm designed to drive her insane. Caught, held in place by his strength, she lifted her hips, rocking high to take him deep. Sadie curled her fingers into the silky duvet and held on tight.
“Ethan!”
“Come on,” he ordered harshly, his voice hardly more than a scrape of sound. “Come again, Sadie. Come for me.”
She shook her head. If she climaxed again, she might never be put back together again. And yet there was no stopping it. She screamed his name again and relished the feeling of his body slamming into hers, over and over again.
She felt it coming, so she opened her eyes so she could look at him when he pushed her over the edge. His eyes burned as his gaze locked on her. He moved faster, harder, and Sadie rushed to meet that crashing release. And when it claimed her, she shouted his name like a prayer.
Once again, Ethan didn’t give her body time to stop shaking, shivering, before he moved and changed the game again. Smoothly, he shifted to lay on his back, taking her with him. Sadie straddled him then and braced her hands on his hard, sculpted chest.
He was embedded so deeply inside her now, she wanted to savor that feeling, keep it with her always. His hands came down on her hips and Sadie smiled at him. “Your turn, Ethan.”
