“You lay in my arms every night and I fall asleep to the scent of your arousal.”

I swallowed my bite of mushrooms. “What?”

Gambit laughed. “Don’t worry bébé, I love the way you smell. If your scent is that delicious, I know you’ll taste even better.”

“Are you going to?”

“Taste you? Yes. I plan on kissing and licking every inch of your sweet body. I want my name screamed from your lips loud enough they can hear you down the block. Then I want to fuck you until neither of us can keep our eyes open. Until we’re both so exhausted, we pass out in each other’s arms.”

“Can we get dessert to go?”

Gambit threw his head back and laughed so hard my cheeks turned cherry red.

“Yes, my Queen.” He took my hand bringing it to his lips before turning it to kiss the palm.

The moment his lips met my skin, tiny sparks of flame shot up my arm and jumped directly to my nipples. They puckered in anticipation of his touch. A shiver of anticipation ran down my spine.

“Are you cold, bébé?

“No,” My answer came out breathier than I expected.

Gambit sent a text before pulling out several bills, he laid it on the table just as Half Pint came in.

“Make sure everything gets back to the clubhouse and order us dessert.”

WHEN SHE ASKED IF WEcould skip dessert I swear my cock tried to rip through the zipper of my jeans.Fuck me. I need to take this slow. It’s her first time and she’s been through a lot. Fucking douchebag stepbrother is still on the loose, but we’ll find him. Pulling out my phone, I send a quick text to the prospect before pulling out several bills and placing them on the table.

We take our leave after I give Half Pint instructions. The limo is waiting for us outside the doors. I wave the driver away, helping Stormy into the limo myself. I pull her on my lap and devour her lips while the driver takes us to our final destination of the evening.

By the time we arrive, her cheeks are flushed, and I barely have a hold on my control. Thank God the drive to the Monteleone Hotel takes less than five minutes from the restaurant. Stormy doesn’t register the hotel. I’m not worried, we’re booked in for the weekend. She’ll love it. At least, I hope so. The Monteleone is one of New Orleans’ top ten haunted hotels and it has the bonus of having suites named after authors.

I booked the Hemingway suite for us. Another thing she would get a better look at tomorrow. Tonight, the suite was lit with candles and fairy lights with rose petals strewn around the room. Once again, my sister rose to the occasion. Nola sent me a few preview pics earlier. I had time to scan them while Stormy went to the head.

We walked hand in hand through the lobby. Straight to the elevator and to the top floor. I’d checked in earlier, so we didn’t need to stop at the front desk. The elevator was empty. I pulled her to me and kissed her until we arrived at the floor. Breathless, we held hands to the door. I quickly opened the suite door and ushered her inside.

Stormy gasped as she took in our surroundings.

“Beau, this is beautiful.”

“Not as beautiful as you are, my Queen,” I said, lifting her hair and placing a kiss on the back of her neck. She shivered again and I could smell the scent of her arousal.

“I have a few more surprises before dessert.”

I can’t resist nipping her earlobe before sucking it into my mouth.

“Gambit,” she breathed as her body shivered again.

“My Queen.” I came from behind her, taking her and we walked to the sofa. The table in front of it held a chilled bottle of champagne, a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries and two dozen dark night tea roses. They were one of my mother’s favorites. She grew them in the garden around our home in Baton Rouge. Dad sold that a few years ago and built the log cabin. With mine and Nola’s blessing.

“Would you like some champagne?”

“Gambit, this is all so much. Thank you.”

I took a seat next to her after opening the bottle and pouring us each a glass of champagne.

“We’ve only begun, bébé.”
