“Well, there is a first time for everything.” I refuse to tell her anything until I know for certain what this is between me and Blue. Last night was completely out of this world for me, and if I can believe him, it was for him too. I have no doubt that what he says is true. I mean, after seeing him change into a wolf it would be silly to doubt anything he says, but I’m still reeling over the way he makes me feel.
“I have to go, Taffy, I just arrived at a patient’s house,” I tell her, parking the car
“Okay, see you later, but you will be telling me all about how hot the sex was with Blue Strada.” Great, Lee Ann told her who it was. At least I have until Monday to think about the mess I got into before I have to face him again. Stepping out of the car, I make my way up to Denise’s house. I have arranged for another nurse to see my patients while I’m away this weekend, and even though I love my job and some of my patients, I’m looking forward to this weekend—just me and Lee Ann.

“So, how was your day?” Taffy asks as I take a seat at the table. After getting back, I went and took a quick shower while Taffy and Lee Ann finished dinner. Now, sitting here, I’m confronted with two sets of curious eyes.
“Fine, how was yours?” I know what they both want, but I will drag it out as much as I can before I have to talk about Blue again. He has been constantly on my mind today and all I want is a couple hours of peace without thinking about him, but that seems impossible because even my body is rebelling at the thought of not seeing him. My skin feels sensitive to the touch, craving his caresses and his kisses.
He phoned earlier. When I didn’t answer, he left a message saying that he would see me later. Well, good luck finding me now. I want to see him, I really do, but I think I need time to get used to the idea that I had sex with a man that is also a shifter. “Ground control to Siena. Siena, are you there?” Taffy’s teasing has me snapping out of my thoughts.
“Oh sorry, it’s been a long day.”
Taffy grins at me, even Lee Ann smiles at my poor lie. “Okay, I was thinking about Blue.”
“Now that’s more like it, spill the beans, how was it?” I can feel my cheeks heat over the memory of last night.
“Like nothing I have ever experienced before.” Now that is like calling a hurricane a light drizzle. One thing is for sure, I doubt they would believe that Blue is part wolf, even if I told them.
“Well, with a man like Blue Strada, what do you expect? He must have quite a lot of experience.”
Taffy’s words have my anger rising at the mere thought of him being with someone else right now. After all, what is to stop him? He says that I’m his mate and that they only have one, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t sleep with as many other women as he pleases, just because I’m the one. And what exactly does beingthe oneentail? As far as I can see, nothing. The first thing he did when I was asleep was leave.
“I’m sure he does.”
His every touch was perfect. Is that how his other women feel?
“I wonder who that could be?” Taffy’s words once again reel me back from my thoughts, only to hear a knock on the door.
“Whoever it is, is insistent,” Lee Ann says as Taffy stands to go see who is at the door.
“Are you okay, Sis?” Lee Ann’s question has my attention moving to her as I hear Taffy opening the door.
“I’m fine, really.” I smile at her. She has had enough sadness in her life without having to worry about me.
“Umm, Siena,” Taffy’s hesitant voice has me glancing towards the dining room door, only to gasp when I see Blue standing behind her.
“How did you find me?” Does he have someone following me?
“I told you, I will always find you.”
The little appetite that I had has completely vanished now.
“Why don’t you join us? We were just about to start eating and I always make too much.”
Blue glances down at Taffy before his eyes rise and he’s looking at me again.
“I don’t mind if I do, thank you.”
Seeing him again has my stomach fluttering like a girl that sees her first crush. He approaches, his stride animalistic like he’s about to pounce on his prey. I know just who his prey is—me. When he stands next to my chair, he places his hand on the back of my neck, his warm touch is like a torch igniting all the thoughts that I have been holding back the whole day. I see him leaning down and his head lowering, the movement is slow as if he’s giving me a chance to push him away. The thought to bolt is there, but the inclination is gone.
Now that Blue is close, all I want is for him to kiss me and to touch me like he did yesterday. When his lips finally touch mine, it’s like an explosion of my senses, everything around me disappears and the only thing that remains is him. Lifting my hand, I fist it under his jacket, grabbing his T-shirt.
“Should we leave?” Taffy jokes, but it’s enough to have Blue break the kiss before standing up straight. “Why don’t you sit over there, Blue.” Taffy points towards the empty chair when Blue glances at her.
Taking a seat, he smiles at Taffy, and then nods at Lee Ann. “Hi, sweets.”
