“He has been at this for a while, but from what Cobult says he ran fast enough to be considered as young.” Gunner shrugs, “Goliath was looking into the camera feeds at that intersection when we left, I hope the image is clear enough for us to see who the driver is or a clear number plate.”

“He’s in,” I say as I see the vehicle that the bastard used to drive into my bike and the one he drove off in when he scratched Alaska’s car.

“He is supposed to be in room five, which from the layout of the place is at the back,” Gunner says as we enter the property over the wall so as not to be caught on any camera that the Bed-and-Breakfast might have. We have done these enough times to know to keep to the shadows so as not to be seen from any prying eyes.

Walking softly around the side of the property, we come to stand by the window that is supposed to lead into the room where Josh should be sleeping at this time. The curtains are drawn but there is a slight crack that allows for me to look inside. My eyes adjust to the darkness of the interior trying to locate him. I finally find the bed to the one side; he is lying on top of the sheets still clothed and I see a half empty bottle of whiskey on the side table. I can also smell cigarettes in the air and lots of booze, “he might be sloshed, which is fucking irritating.”

I wanted to be able to question him without any slurring because I don’t want to be here the whole day with this asshole. Pushing up at the window I confirm that it’s locked so I pull my pocketknife out of my pocket and slot it into the top of the window flicking the lock open. When we are finally inside the room, the overwhelming smell of alcohol and smoke make my eyes water.

“Fucker will die soon enough from the smoke inhalation in this room, we might as well leave him to it,” Gunner whispers sarcastically. I walk towards the lamp on the side table and flick it on. He mumbles but doesn’t even open his eyes. Approaching him, I see his hair is shabby and unwashed, his skin is a pasty colour which is evidence of an unhealthy diet.

Leaning forward I slap him hard across the face which has his eyes snap open and him sitting up groaning. “Wha. . . what the fuck?” he grumbles when he finally focuses on Gunner and me.

“You know who I am?” I ask and see his look of disgust as he looks at me.

“Yes,” he mutters.

“So, you know why I’m here?” at my question he shrugs.

“She’s too good for the likes of you.” At his comment, I tense.

“Really, so you are saying that you are better suited for Alaska?” I can feel the anger coursing through my veins knowing that this man before me wants my woman.

“Better than a dirty biker,” I pull back my arm and punch him, which has him flipping back against the pillow again, groaning.

“You drove into my bike and you scratched Alaska’s car. How can hurting a woman that you profess to like be better for her than someone that treats her well?” He just glares at me as he sits up again on the bed.

“You don’t know anything,” he says angrily.

“Dash, you will want to see this,” Gunner says, which has me turning towards Gunner and only now do I catch a glimpse of the wall leading from the bathroom into the room. There are photos of Alaska in different parts of town, ones of her in her house and photos that he could only have if he was looking in through her window. When I see ones of her in her lingerie my temper snaps.

“You’re a sick son of a bitch,” grabbing his shirt I pull him up until my face is close to his. “You have stalked her for way too long, that has now ended. You will not frighten her anymore, she’s mine, not yours.” He tries to push me away, but his feeble attempts just enrage me more than I already am. He then tries to kick me which has my left hand letting go of his shirt and grabbing his leg as I turn slightly and bring my knee down on his leg hearing the bone snap beneath my knee.

He starts to scream in pain, but before he can wake the other guests, I have my hand over his mouth. “You will never look at my woman again, you won’t even think about her because you’re a sick fuck and you will be dead.” His eyes open wide in fear and then he is trying to bite me which has me bringing down my fist against his midriff, this has him leaning forward and gasping for air.

“Gunner, take all that shit down,” I mutter, revolted with the thought of this man looking at my woman, perving after my woman.

“You rode into my bike,” I say as I punch him again, this time hitting him across his left cheek. “You scratched my woman’s car,” again I punch him but this time on his right cheek, his arms are now flailing trying to get a hit in but because of his broken leg the pain is inhibiting his movements. “You stalked and frightened Alaska.” This time I put all my weight behind the punch, which has his head snapping back. His eyes roll back as he passes out.

“Come on, let’s take him to his car,” Gunner says when I let go of the fucker.

“Have you got everything that might lead to Alaska?” I ask, looking over my shoulder at Gunner that is placing everything into a haversack that was lying on the floor, I see him grab a laptop and slot that inside too.

“Yeah,” he says.

“I will carry him out, just need you to open the window and guide the way,” I state, as I pull Josh up by his t-shirt again and throw him over my shoulder. Manoeuvring myself and him out of the window isn’t easy, but we finally manage to get through, making our way through the darkness to the outside of the property and towards his vehicle we try to make it as quickly and quietly as possible.

“I’ll drive; you can follow on the bike,” I say, which has Gunner nodding before he turns and starts to sprint towards the bikes. We agreed before coming here that we would drive him and his car over one of the highest bridges that we have near here, for that I will need to jump out of the car just before it hits the railing which will leave me banged up but at least we will get rid of this fucker.

We make our way towards the bridge, Josh groaning every now and again, but he doesn’t regain full consciousness. Stopping the vehicle just before the bridge I open the door and then I’m pulling him towards the driver’s seat, when looking into his past we found that there was a case opened about a missing girl a couple of years back but nothing was ever proven. The girl was found weeks later in a river, her body too bloated to be tested for any evidence, but her teeth identified her. I have no doubt that he is responsible for that girl's death and who knows if she was the only one, but I’m not going to let him do this to my woman or any other women out there.

When he is slumped over the driver's seat I close the door and walk around towards the passenger seat, slipping in I lean forward and place his feet on the peddles, I hear the bikes pulling up behind me, waiting. As the car is an automatic, it is easy to manoeuvre as all he has to do is accelerate. Pushing down of his knee the car spurts forward and then it is speeding over the bridge. At the last moment, I twist the wheel and then push the door open and jump out just as I hear a crackling sound of the railing.

My body hits the ground with a thud, the tar scraping the leather of my jacket, lifting my head I am just in time to see the back of the car as it flies down into the dense trees far below. “You okay, brother?” Dixon asks as he holds out his hand to help me up.

“Fuck, I’m going to be bruised and I think I cracked a rib, but I’m okay,” I mutter as I stand, and my hand immediately moves to hold at my ribcage.

“Let’s go before someone drives up,” Gunner says as he stops his bike next to us for me to get on behind him. “Are you okay to ride your bike back?” he asks.
