“Maybe it’s Sam’s,” Flint, another of our prospects and best friends with Cobult says. When Flint was brought in, he was in a bad shape, but he has now slowly regained his feet and is doing well.
“Naa, since her kidnapping that she’s stayed away from everyone except Hawk, and I doubt the two of you have a thing going?” Fang says.
“Fuck off, you know I’ve just tried to help her,” Hawk mutters as he shows Fang the finger.
“Okay, we are deviating from the point. I’m sure in regard to who’s pregnant we will find out soon enough,” King says as he sits forward in his chair and places his arms on the table. “If anyone comes asking questions you don’t know fuck, are we understood?” King looks at each prospect to make sure that he gets their nods of agreement.
“We still don’t know what we are going to do with the body we found, but whatever it is, you know nothing about it.” King raises his hand to dismiss them when Apollo, our fifth prospect and the quietest of them all interjects.
“There have been cops patrolling the outside of the club more often than before,” Apollo says, “also, I think they are preparing for a stakeout.”
“Why would you say that?” Gunner asks.
“Because it looks like they have been looking for a good place to hide a vehicle, and I saw one stop his car with some kind of equipment. Looked like he was testing for the best reception as he walked up and down that piece of road,” he says.
“Was that the one you told me about?” King asks and received a nod from Apollo, “Keep your eyes peeled,” with that comment he dismisses them with his hand which has them quickly turning and making their way out of the room.
“They might be trying to monitor our calls and conversations,” Gunner says, but when building the club, we made sure to isolate the meeting room from any outside interference, and our emails and phones are protected but I guess there is always a way.
“Fang, when you next have training with the prospects, teach them to follow their target until they know where they are headed or until they know which fucking car they are driving,” King mutters, which has me shaking my head. I thought of that when Cobult mentioned letting the trespasser go, I was surprised that King didn’t say anything immediately, but I guess he didn’t want to step on Fang’s toes as Fang is responsible for the prospects.
“Yeah,” he says, which tells me that he had already noted that fact when Cobult mentioned letting the trespasser go.
“So, what are we going to do with the dead woman in our property?” I ask.
“If we tell the cops, they will be all over our property, I don’t think that is a very good idea,” Dixon says, and then bangs his fist on the table, “this son of a bitch is crafty.”
“We can try move her to somewhere else, but that would be the same as us helping the fucker, and he will do it again and again knowing that we will just move them. Not to mention that we might leave some kind of DNA behind and be caught, then they will definitely think that one of us is the killer,” Blue says.
“No, we do not move her,” King says as he stands and starts pacing, I can feel the anger coursing through him as he tries to find a way out of this situation without harming our pack. “Because we went to the grave as wolves there will be no footprints except of Sabre’s as I will get him to go to the grave and then make his way back here. He will then call the cops from here, as the youngest they will not suspect him.” He places his hands on the table as he leans forward, looking at all of us. “We make sure that there is no way that they can identify what we are and there will be no talk about anything relating to our pack out of these walls until we are sure that we are not being monitored.”
“It’s like being in a fucking jail, but right at home,” Goliath mutters.
“Don’t forget to tell your women to not talk about anything that could incriminate us, just in case there is someone listening,” Blue says, then nodding at me he says, “not the best time to get a mate, she will want to run for the hills.”
“At least we know where to find her fucking stalker now,” I mutter, all I want to do is get out of here and go and find the fucker. Once I deal with him, there will be peace from one side at least.
“First you find out who he is before you go in with guns blazing,” King orders.
“Yeah,” I concede.
“Okay then, I want everyone out there making sure that there is nothing that can identify what we are. Once we are happy, I will call Sabre and tell him what to do.” King looks over at Hunter and Hawk, “You two, I want you to go and find out who is the future Daddy.” At that they both grunt in annoyance.
“Not fucking funny,” Hunter mutters, “I’m not ready to be a dad, I wasn’t even ready to be a mate.”
“That’s true, she’s still potty training you,” Blue teases, which has Hunter showing him the finger.
“If its Dakota that is pregnant, you will be a wonderful father just like you are a wonderful mate, so I wouldn’t worry about it Dude,” Goliath says and I see him about to slap Hunter on the back when he stops himself as Hunter didn’t take kindly to it earlier.
“Thanks,” he mutters.
“Okay, all of you. Get out of here,” King says as he turns and makes his way out of the room.
“Shit, what a situation,” Blue mutters as he makes his way out of the room.
“Hey Gunner,” I call as I follow him out. He stops to glance at me. “When you find any info about this guy, come let me know, no matter what time.”
“No problem, brothers,” he says as he walks away. I make my way upstairs to go and see Alaska. After everything that happened with her car I haven’t had a chance to be with her, which isn’t ideal, but when we rode past and saw Dixon and Blue, we knew that something had happened. It was good that we stopped because Hunter started following the scent immediately, which helps as the scents lighten quickly.
