“I’m good with that, does that mean more mornings like this?”

Colt turns, tickling my sides while laughing along with me, “Are you using me for orgasms?” he questions with a wiggle of his eyebrows.

“I’ll never tell,” I get out of bed and head to the bathroom, “Shower with me?”

“There’s no place on earth you could go, where I wouldn’t follow, Lyla,” he says as he gets out of bed himself.

My heart is so full with his declaration. I do the only thing I want to do, launching myself in his arms and kiss him with everything I have to give.

“Mr. Colt, Mr. Colt,” I hear the patter of footsteps and my name being called. I get up from my desk, knowing full well Lyla said Clairabella was full of energy and has the biggest heart known to man.

I step outside of my office, going towards the front door, but I’m stopped in my tracks. There’s Clairabella, looking just like her mom, but dressed just like Lyla. She’s in ripped up jean shorts, sandals, and a tee shirt that says, “Sassy Like My Aunties.”

“Hi Clairabella, I’m Colt,” I tell her squatting down on her level. Her arms shoot out, and I’m not sure if she’s going to fall or if she wants me to hug her.

“She wants a hug. Clairabella has never met a stranger a day in her life,” Lyla says. The only difference in their outfits is she’s wearing a shirt that has “Cool Aunt” emblazoned on it.

I hold my arms out for Clairabella and give her a hug. I wrap her up in my arms. Standing up, “Hey, babe,” I lightly kiss Lyla’s lips.

“Oh, are you going to be my Uncle Colt?” Clairabella questions.

“Maybe one day, it depends if your Aunt will go on a date with me or not,” I tell her honestly.

“I have no words, but if you’re asking, the answer is yes. Come on Bella, let’s get the food off loaded and feed Mr. Colt,” Lyla says. She takes Clairabella out of my arms, sets her on the ground and goes into my office, the bag on her shoulder is on my desk and both the girls take out everything we need to have breakfast together this morning.

“You girls could have eaten before you got here,” I tell them both. Clairabella’s little tongue is out while she practically salivates at our now dished up plates.

“I told her that, but Clairabella wasn’t having that. She wanted to meet you and eat breakfast with you. Who am I to deny her,” Lyla states as we all take our seat to eat.

“This is delicious, Auntie Lala,” Clairabella says while shoveling her food in her mouth. There’s no other way to describe it either.

“Slow down or you’ll choke,” Lyla places her hand on Clairabella’s shoulder.

“Fine, but you’re no fun. Next time I’ll go to Auntie Pres and Uncle Linc’s house,” she says with a huff.

“Sorry about your luck, kiddo. But you’re stuck with me for right now. Noah is sick and we can’t let you get what he has and still go to school,” Lyla looks at me and mouths sorry after she’s done. I shake my head, I’m enjoying every moment of this, it gives me insider information on just how amazing Lyla will be when she’s a mother herself.

“That was delicious girls, thank you for for breakfast,” I tell them when I take my last bite.

“Auntie Lala makes the best breakfast. Auntie Pres hates breakfast, so we never make breakfast there,” Clairabella states.

“I see. How about we let Lyla get started on some work and you can help me figure out what color to paint the Camaro that we just brought in?” I ask her.

“I can do that. Gramps has a Charger and its bright orange. He let me pick the color too!”

“You sure you’re okay with her? I shouldn’t be too long, and if she gets to be too much let me know, I’ll have her color or she can use her iPad,” Lyla comes up to give me a hug. “She’s okay, babe, promise.” I kiss her on the lips and then Clairabella grabs my hand and leads me out of the office.

“I think my ovaries have exploded,” I murmur out loud to myself. Seeing Colt hang out with Clairabella made for a less than productive day. It was worth it though. Plus, it’s Saturday, I’m not even sure why I was willing or trying to work. I really need to re-evaluate my own schedule.

I shut down my laptop, pack everything up and go find the two people that have seemed to steal all of my attention for the day.

“Hey, you,” Callie says coming up while I’m deep in thought.

“Hey! You’re off earlier than I thought you would be. Our girl is off making paint colors with Colt,” I tell Callie.
