"Fucking hell... she was fifteen."

He shrugs.

"I was forty-four."

Again he shrugs. "Look, boss, I'm not saying that you did anything with her. I just knew with her beauty and the way she is, that she was who you wanted."

I shake my head. "Well at least one of us knew what I wanted."

He laughs, "So, I take it you have pulled your head out of your ass?"

"She's eighteen," I remind him.

"She's legal," he fires back.

"She's hiding something from me," I tell him and he nods. "There’s things in her past that she won’t open up about."

"Sounds about right," he responds, which just further pisses me off. "The past few days I've been in contact with Debbie's old neighbors and Georgina's past teachers."

Dread sets in deep.

"Debbie had—according to her neighbor—a harem of men in and out of her apartment. A different man each week, sometimes each night. The old lady thought she was a prostitute."

Christ. "How the hell did we not know this? How the fuck did Python allow this to happen?" Who the fuck lets his daughter be subjected to this shit?

"There is no paper trail. There's no way we could have known," he says and I see him frown as he reaches for his cell.

"I don't give a shit, we should have found this out."

"Oh fuck," he growls, and those two words have ice running through my blood. "Boss, Porter has finally gotten back to me, he's managed to hack into Georgina's files and juvie record."

"Juvie record?" There's so much I don't know and the more I learn the less I like.

"Yeah, petty shit. Stealing Debbie's car and shoplifting. Nothing serious, just a kid being rebellious."

“There’s CPS reports, Debbie’s also been charged with child endangerment. But not once has Georgina been taken off her. The girl was found alone at the age of six wandering the streets, hungry. When asked how long she’d been alone, she told them the date that Debbie had gone and it was two weeks.”

What the fuck has Debbie done to that girl?

It now makes sense as to why Georgie never speaks about her father, he was never around.

“I’m not sure what went down, but the cops were called to Debbie’s house, neighbors reported hearing Georgina screaming and a man had broken into the house. Before the cops arrived, Debbie returned and the two of them left town.”

Ice runs through my veins. "Find her," I yell. I want to know what the fuck happened when the man broke in.

God, Debbie’s a fucking bitch, that’s for sure.

He nods, getting to his feet. "I'm on it." He exits my office and I'm right behind him.

I take the stairs two at a time. I open the door to Georgie's bedroom, so hard it bounces off the wall. She gasps trying to cover herself up; she's naked, not a stitch of clothes on her.

"Dad, what the hell? Ever heard of knocking?"

“Wanna tell me what the fuck happened to have you and your mom move states so quickly?” I ask with a raised brow.

Color drains from her face and she goes ashen.

"Tell me," I urge, needing to know.
