I yawn and Lilac stands. “We need to let Ellery get some rest. Sufficient sleep is important during pregnancy.”
I latch onto Lilac the fact pusher’s statement and yawn again. “I am quite tired, and my alarm goes off at 5 a.m.”
Ashlyn sighs. “You need to trust Moon to handle the breakfast service on her own.”
“You’re not exactly impartial since Moon’s your best friend.”
She sticks her tongue out at me. “I would never lie about food.”
Aspen herds everyone out the front door. “Let’s go. Baby mamma needs her rest.”
I groan. “You better not refer to me as baby mamma for the next five months.”
I slam the door and lock it before making my way to my bedroom to shut the window they crawled through. I know I should probably consider their advice, but I wasn’t lying about how tired I am. Revealing secrets is exhausting. I’ll worry about Cole and the baby tomorrow.
I rub a hand over my belly. Don’t worry, baby. I’ll figure it out before you arrive. I hope.
