He holds up his hand. “No. It’s my turn to speak now.”

“Whatever.”

“Access to the location is a no-brainer. You can put a lock with a code system on the door. Each customer gets their own code.”

Damn. I hadn’t thought of that.

“As far as attracting customers, I’ll help.”

I narrow my eyes at him. “Help how?”

He shrugs. “I have a lot of contacts.”

And there he goes shoving his fame in my face again. Reminding me how I will never be good enough for him.

“I don’t want your contacts.”

“Too bad. I’m going to help you whether you want me to or not.”

I cock an eyebrow at him. “Oh yeah?”

He fists his hands on his hips. “Oh yeah.”

“Have fun. Because I’m not getting involved,” I declare before hippity hopping my way out of the building.

I’m fuming the entire time I make my way across and down the street to The Inn on Main where I know Ellery keeps chocolate chip cookies stashed for emergencies. How dare he think he can railroad me into establishing a business I don’t want? Why the hell would I want to work on a project with him? I’m just a mistake after all.

A freaking mistake. Kissing Rowan was the single best moment I’ve ever had with a man in my entire life, and he considers it a mistake. I’ll show him a mistake.
