She’s abusing her power over him, and I will fucking kill her. Women who take advantage of males like that deserve to go to hell.

“Natasha George...” the alpha warns. “Move out of the way.”

The female holds her head high, a flash running through her eyes. “No. I challenge Patrick for his position.”

The alpha sighs, rubbing his temples. “It doesn’t work like that here, sweetheart. These are theannualgames of the Global Gathering. Not your typical pack dispute. Step aside. You lost. Deal with it. You are not the only one. Look around.”

For once, I agree with the alpha. He talks actual sense. There are thousands of wolves here who want to compete.

But Natasha won’t have it. She just cannot accept the fact that she lost. She has never competed before, and every year I know she hopes to get her chance.

And now she has to watch her former victim bask in all the glory.

Chelsea and Annabel are crestfallen. While they’re happy to finally compete, they’re afraid of Natasha. No doubt she will make them pay in some way.

I don’t even know why they bother with her anymore. We’re not pups. We don’t need to hang out with the most popular girl at school...

We find our own places now. They are more than sheep, more than minions. This is their chance to shine.

I can see the panic running through Natasha’s eyes as she’s running out of options. Enforcers step forward, and she gasps for breath.

“N-no... I’ve been waiting my whole life for a chance to compete. I... I can’t lose my chance... Chelsea, Annabel... One of you trade places with me. You know as well as I do that it should be me up there. Not you two.”

The bloody gall of her...

I peer at Chelsea and Annabel, silently communicating with them not to cave. They do not grovel to her anymore. She was never the boss of them.

The two females hang their heads, refusing to look at her, and it’s clear that they won’t be giving up their place. I’ve never appreciated them so much before. They don’t give a shit what she’ll do, they will not give up their place. Period.

It appears they do have autonomy after all. They’re not sheep or minions. They are their own wolves. They’re both strong fighters. They may play dirty, but I’m looking forward to competing beside them.

We’ll show the other packs who they’re dealing with. The bitches of the Northern Pack cannot be tamed.

Desperate now, Natasha looks to her former friend Tiffany.Friendmay be putting it lightly. Natasha only had admirers.

“Tiff, come on... We’ve been friends since we were kids. Switch places with me.”

Unlike Chelsea and Annabel, Tiff doesn’t take her cold, blue eyes off the pathetic female. Her freckled face remains stoic as she folds her arms.

“Sorry, Tash. Maybe next year...”

The crowd laughs at the female’s response, and I like Tiff even more now.

Knowing she’s defeated at last, Natasha pushes her way through the crowd, then vanishes into the forest in wolf form. Now Patrick finally has a clear path to the stage.

Hunter pats his shoulder once he joins us, but I’ll get my chance to congratulate him later.

I peer to the sky. It’s daylight, so the moon isn’t out yet, but I thank Luna.

I get to compete with all three of my mates.
