“Durag?” Cam questioned.

“I didn’t know what…can you help us?” I asked.

Cam looked from the girls to me then back to the girls.

“Of course,” Cam said, stepping to the side and allowing us to enter.

“Let me grab my bag, I will be right back,” she said and disappeared down the hall.

I watched her walk away until she disappeared into one of her rooms. I often found myself mesmerized by her hips, ass, and thighs. I could watch her walk away all day. After I lost sight of her, I decided to admire her place instead.

The tidy space was very reflective of Cam’s personality with the diamond, sparkle, and fur accents. Anchoring the room was a light grey sofa and love seat combo, decorated with pink and purple pillows. The walls were the same shade of light grey as the furniture, covered in colorful abstract paintings and silver mirrors.

Cam reentered the room carrying a large tote bag.

“I have some leave-in conditioner in my bag that will help with the detangling, so I can get two braids in for her. It will only take a few minutes,” she said.

“I see you still have your coffee ritual,” I said, motioning toward her half-full coffee press.

“I have some fresh coffee I just pressed. Would you like a cup?” Cam asked.

“Yes, I could use a cup,” I responded.

She went into her kitchen and opened one of her upper cabinets.

“Cream, no sugar, right?” she called from the kitchen.

“Yep, cream, no sugar.”

It took a couple of minutes for her to come back out with a silver travel mug.

“Here, so you can take it to go,” she said while passing me the mug.

“You didn’t have to do that. I can drink it now.”

“It’s just a mug, Morris.”

“Thank you. I will return your mug.”

“No worries. I know where you live,” she responded.

She reached into her bag and pulled out a brush that was still in the package, a large comb, and a spray bottle.

“I’m just going to put two quick braids in, okay, Fee?”

“Okay, Ms. Cam,” Fee agreed.

When I met Cam two years ago at the Valentines’ party, I thought she was beautiful and energetic. She and I were spades partners at the party and ruled the table several games in a row. Her quick wit, playful banter, and competitiveness entertained our opponents and me. I had to leave the party early because I had to get the girls to Beatrice, so we didn’t exchange information at the party. I wasn’t sure I would see her again, but I definitely didn’t forget her.

I moved from my bachelor's apartment to a larger apartment after Bee and I agreed on joint custody. On move-in day, I was unloading the rental truck and saw a blonde woman walking across the parking lot towards me.

“Morris?”

It only took me a second to remember her from the party.

“Cam, hi,” I smiled.

“Are you helping my new neighbors move in?” she asked, looking into the truck.
