Overwhelmed and unsure of what to say back, I lean forward to kiss him. I’ve always wanted to find the one I can be my full and honest self with. Someone who will see me for who I am, not who they think I should be. Ben makes me feel that way.

I just hope I can be that person for him, too.

She’s finally home.

As her car pulls into the driveway, I release a breath I didn’t know I was holding. She’s normally home most of the day on Saturdays. Where could she have gone that would keep her from me? I can’t imagine why she’d need to do anything today. She grocery shopped yesterday and took the dogs to the park this morning. There was no reason for her to leave again.

She gets out of her car, walking up the sidewalk. I love when she wears tank tops. They show off all her creamy white skin. So soft, I want to run my hands across it, my mouth. So beautiful.

Wait.

What’shedoing here? Why is he parking in her driveway?

I thought they only worked together. He’s not supposed to still be hanging around her. She showed me she loved me. Every time she read my notes, she smiled. I watched her accept each gift I’ve given her, knowing I was the one to send them.

I walk around the house to see through the back kitchen window she always leaves open. The lights are dim, but I can see everything as plain as day.

When muscle man boosts her onto the counter, I have to bite down on my fist to keep from yelling. No one is allowed to touch her but me!

How could she do this to me?

We were going to be together soon. Now, she’s let another man touch her how I want to touch her. He’s getting to see all her silky skin that was only for me.

Her shirt clears her head, showing me every inch of her beautiful body. My cock starts to grow at the sight of her. She’s so beautiful. I’ve never seen this much of her.

A growl rips through my throat as she grabs hold of his pants.

No.

I close my eyes. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. I squeeze my shaft, trying to rid myself of the pressure.

The plan has changed.

She’s ruined everything, and now I’m going to have to tell her exactly what happens when she doesn’t do what she’s told.

Aknock on the door precedes a chorus of barking as the dogs race to see who arrived at their house. Even Minnie strolls into the living room from her hideaway in the gym to find out. The dogs are probably hoping it’s Sadie. Those three have become such good friends over the last month.

Instead of a handsome man with his adorable pup, I open the door to Natalie, who has about six bags in her hands. Which, admittedly, is just as good for everyone involved.

“Hi, my sweet babies. How are you?” Natalie coos, squatting down to say hello. “Yes, of course, Auntie Nat brought you treats. She always brings you treats.” Digging down into one of her bags, Natalie pulls out two peanut butter-flavored bones and a plush mouse toy. She hands each treat to their respective animal with a kiss on each of their heads.

“What about me?” I fake whine, giving her a hug when she stands up again.

“Don’t you worry. I didn’t forget about you.” She opens one of her canvas bags, revealing a mountain of junk food, then rifles through another one to pull out a bottle of wine.

I fist pump the air. “I love you!”

“I know.” Natalie walks through the living room into the kitchen to set her bags on the island. The dogs, having taken off with their treats the minute they were given, are lazing in their beds. They know they won’t get anything else from Natalie.

I grab down the wine glasses, sliding them across the counter so Natalie can fill them.
