“How come, grandpa?”

“It’s a long story, and not one that I’d like to explain today or ever, especially to you.”

I just shrug as Xavier drags me away swiftly.

I start dancing again until the DJ stops playing the music. I groan in disappointment.

Luca Donatello

“Is everyone having a good time?” the DJ shouts out to the crowd. Everyone screams out in excitement as a response. Initially, when Amir called me to come to the club, I didn’t want to. That’s until he told me who he was with.

I knew in that moment when he said Ms. Castillo’s name that I would have to babysit her. Her track record for drinking has never been one of good merit, so in order to save the team’s public image, I’ve simply come to make sure she doesn’t fuck up.

The DJ continues speaking, “good! Here at Paciencia, we honor special guests, and today, we have the winner of the Spanish Grand Prix in the house!” His gaze trails to Ms. Castillo as he looks at her with a smirk. She gives him a thumbs up in response. His voice booms through the speakers once again, “so, in honor of her Latino heritage, I can’t help but play the icon and legend, Bad Bunny.” She yells out in cheers as “Safaera” plays.

That’s when I get up and walk over to where she stands beaming. I refuse to let her dance on anyone she doesn’t know. No one, not even her, needs a social media rampage of someone telling the story of how Maria Alejandra Castillo grinded on a stranger.

Going through a mass mob of people is harder than expected when everyone is so entranced with fucking one another. Finally, reaching Ms. Castillo, she looks around dumbfoundedly until she makes eye contact with me.

“Alejandra, you can pick anyone on the dance floor and when you find them, dance on them. It’s tradition here at Paciencia.” The tropical beat comes kicking in. Tilting her head in question, a smirk spreads across her face as she walks towards me. Swaying her body to the rhythm, she does the unthinkable.

Dragging a finger down my chest, her body starts dancing against me. The beat changes up, and instead of swaying against my body again, she steps back, putting her hands in her hair seductively. This goes on for minutes until the beat drops and her ass is swaying against my groin.

That’s when I lose control. I tug her wrist, turning her to face me. Her greenish blue eyes become alert in a matter of seconds. Pulling her into me, I run my nose down the base of her neck slowly, and I trail back up to her ear. I take in her scent. It’s clean but smells of cologne. I don’t like the fact that she smells of other men. It sends a shock of annoyance down my spine.

The music is still playing in the background, and everything stops for a moment. As I say, “you want me to do bad things to you, Miss Castillo, don’t you?” I run a finger down her chest and make my way down to her stomach.

“If you classify staying as far away from me as possible as a bad thing, then yes.” I smirk. “You’re a little liar,Ragazza, and you know it,” I whisper against her ear. A look of shock spreads across her face as I walk away swiftly.

After three more shots, Miss Castillo is barely holding on.

A few minutes ago, she fell flat on her face, having tripped over air. That’s when I knew her celebration time was done. When I had picked her up and threw her over my shoulder from the depths of the grimy club floor, she started kicking. Yelling at me to put her down, I didn’t.

When we fully walked out of the club, she told me to put her down again. Tired of her kicking and yelling, I placed her on the sidewalk right next to me. Seconds after her feet reach the ground, she runs away, hiding behind a palm tree. I walk towards her giggling state as she starts talking to herself.

“He can’t see me because I’m invisible,” she snickers.

Who knew that Ms. Castillo was not only bratty while drunk but also incredibly dumb?

Much to her distaste, I pull her into my arms and drag her to the car parked in front of us. Making it to the back seat, she keeps going on about how10 Things I Hate About Youis the best romcom in history. I have no idea what she’s talking about.

In the middle of her sentence, she giggles and then stops abruptly. “I was supposed to have sex with a random person tonight,” she groans as I go still, along with Ren, Xavier, and Amir in the car. She continues speaking freely as if her colleagues and boss aren’t around her.

“So, which one of you is going to ravage me tonight because your girl hasn’t had sex in three years and her pussy is as dry as the Sahara Desert.” We stay silent, staring at her after her outburst.

I swear to all things holy, she is crazy.

She continues speaking, “you guys are no fun. But I respect your decisions. It goes completely against my rules anyway. You’re all too complicated.” She yawns and closes her eyes, then passes out shortly after.

Pulling up to the hotel a few seconds later, I throw her over my shoulder again and carry her into the lobby. The boys follow behind me.

“I’m going to take her up to her room so she can rest.” They all nod.

“We’ll see you later,” Xavier says, and waves goodbye. Letting out a sigh, I walk towards the elevator. Pressing her floor number, the elevator quickly opens, and I make my way through the hallway until I reach the front of her door.

Remembering to look for her room card, I reach into her pocket and fish it out. I open the door and carry her through it as it closes behind me.

Seeing the bed, I gently place her on the comforter. She says something inaudible, but she’s still fast asleep. I lift her head up and gently place it on a pillow. I untuck the comforter from underneath her and tuck her under. Walking into her bathroom, I grab a bottle of Advil and put it next to her bed.
