Page 31 of Always Loved You

“And, unless I ask for advice, I get to run the grocery store by myself.”

“It’s all yours.” I slip another finger inside of her.

“And…and…and…” She trails off, losing her train of thought.

I lift my head from her breasts. “And?” I ask, quirking an eyebrow up.

“Don’t you have any demands?”

“Yes. Dinner every night at seven and love me forever.”

“That’s it?”

“It’s all I ever wanted out of this marriage.” I capture her mouth with mine and power into her welcoming body with all the force of a man who’s gotten everything he’s wanted out of life and more. This marriage of convenience has turned into a marriage of love. No one could want more than that—not even me.

Epilogue

Heath

Months later

I smile as kisses trail down my neck. Heath’s morning beard makes me giggle. I snuggle deeper into the bed as I wait for my husband to make a meal out of me. It’s crazy how I once slept in this house with him in a different room. Now we can’t keep our hands off each other.

His hand slips between my thighs. I part them for him as he finds my clit. His thumb strokes me as he slips a finger inside me. I let out a small moan, knowing that this is only the beginning of the pleasure he’s about to give me.

“Are you awake?” He nips my neck.

“Does it matter?” I lift my hips. This was the best way to wake up. It’s how I always wake up now. With a husband that can’t get enough of me. One that loves me more than anything in the whole world and is better than any I could have dreamed up.

My husband.

“All that matters is that I make my wife come.” He slips down my body, his mouth going to my clit, giving me what we both need. I cry out his name as he brings me to orgasm. Slowly I open my eyes to look down at him. He kisses the inside of my thighs. His hand goes to my stomach as he rises up, giving my round stomach a kiss.

“We’re not done yet.” I wiggle under him. I want my morning sex too. It is Sunday and we don’t have anywhere we need to be. My stomach lets out a loud growl. I try to distract him from the sound, lifting my hips to rub against him, knowing that if he thinks I’m hungry he won’t be able to resist stopping and feeding me.

“The girls are hungry.” He kisses my stomach again before slipping off the bed. “I’ll feed you and then we can do anything you want.” I let out a small huff.

“I guess the one orgasm will have to hold me over.” I hide my smile as I sit up in bed. Heath grabs my robe for me. “I have to wear this? No one is home.” The house is always empty on Sundays. I enjoy it just being the two of us. For now at least. We’ll have two little girls soon enough.

“It’s cold.” He grabs my slippers next. I put my robe on while he slips my slippers onto my feet. I slide off the bed before Heath ties it for me.

“Bathroom.” The urge to pee hits me fast. I bolt as fast as I can to the bathroom.

“Something with cream cheese!” I shout. “Oh, bacon too. But then I’ll need something with syrup to dip my bacon in so I guess you’ll have to make pancakes or French toast to go with it.” Heath steps into the bath. “Oh I love when the syrup”—I lift my hands up to do quotations—“accidentally gets on the eggs so maybe eggs too because accidents happen.”

Heath just leans up against the door frame watching me.

“I’m peeing.”

“I see that.” He smiles bigger.

“Oh oh. Grab my laptop. I’m gonna look at it while you cook.” I wave my hand at him.

“We don’t work on Sunday,” he reminds me. “Don’t pout.” He pushes off the wall, coming over toward me.

“You can’t kiss me while I’m peeing.”

“You stopped peeing around egg talk.” He kisses me. I laugh against his mouth. “I already checked your email. You’re pulling a bigger profit already.”

“Really?” I smile up at him.

“Just a little but yeah. I’m sure it will grow.” He gives me another kiss before heading out to try and make my breakfast. He has gotten so much better at cooking. He’s best at breakfast. I know he has it in his head that he’s going to cook breakfast for the girls and me every morning.

I finish my business, leaving our bedroom before heading for the kitchen. He pulls out a chair for me. Before I can try to sit in the high top, he’s picking me up and putting me in it.

“Chocolate milk?” he asks, rubbing my stomach, which growls loudly again, making Heath smile. My heart flutters that only my girls and I can get that smile from him. I don’t know how I missed that he was in love with me but when I look back on our years together, I can see it in everything he did.
