“You didn’t need to. Your fuck-me eyes are saying enough.”
“I do not have fuck-me eyes,” I gasped. “What are fuck-me eyes?”
She pointed at my face. “The eyes you give Gavin. I know you want to jump his bones.”
“Jump whose bones?” Marcus chose that perfect time to walk in with a sleepy Axel in his arms. He had just woken up from his nap, I was sure.
“Your sister wants to”—she looked at the sleepy toddler in her husband’s arms—“fondle Gavin.”
“Maddy. I do not want to do that,” I reprimanded her before turning my attention to my son. “Hi baby, did you have a good nap?”
He placed his head on his uncle's shoulder and nodded sleepily. I was always so astounded by how perfect he was. He was everything good thing in my life.
I reached for him and placed him on my lap. He snuggled into my chest, closing his eyes once more. He would need a few moments to properly wake up and eat his lunch.
“Isn’t having sexual relations with employees against the rules or something?”
Maddy scoffed, “Not when I’m the boss. And as the boss, I say that your sister needs to get laid. She has spent two years without getting serviced, and I think it’s high time her engine gets serviced. She needs a good, thorough…” She looked at Axel again, cautiously trying to word things. “…dusting for all the cobwebs down there. She needs to release some of that pent up old lady tension she has been harboring.”
“If you weren’t pregnant right now, I would kick your butt.” I shook my head at her. “I am perfectly fine, and I don’t have old-angry-lady tension in my body. I am thoroughly serviced, thank you very much.”
“A vibrator doesn’t count.” Maddie rolled her eyes at me. “Sometimes, you just need the real thing. The real thing works the best, believe me. I mean, look at me. You literally said I’m glowing when I walked in here. That is the power of proper servicing.”
“I can’t think of Gavin that way and having the image of you and my brother servicing each other is kind of gross,” I said.
“Think of me in what way?”
I closed my eyes, wishing that it had been my mind that was just playing tricks on me.
“Gavin!” Maddy exclaimed, startling poor Axel in his sleepy state. He let out small whimpers, and I opened my arms to him. Marcus handed him to me, and I snuggled him close to my chest.
Gavin stood at the archway of the kitchen without his shirt, again. This time, I was able to take him in fully. It was only today that I noticed the tattoo on the right side of his torso. The lettering looked to be Arabic or some dialect I was not familiar with.
Gavin looked in between the three of us. “Did I interrupt something?”
“No, not at all.” I shook my head with a nervous smile. “Did you need something?”
“Yeah, my shower is broken, and I was wondering if I could use yours. I need to clean up before I head into town for some supplies..”
Before I could answer, Maddy beat me to it.
“What a coincidence. Danny needs to head into town to go and get some hardware supplies. Remember, you needed to get stuff for the ATVs.”
She had a teasing smile on her face, and I could see the mischievous glint in her eyes. She was meddling, and I didn’t want her meddling in my life.
My heart thundered in my chest as all their eyes turned to me. I was going to murder my sister-in-law.
“I…I mean…yeah, I need the supplies. But I wouldn’t want to trouble Gavin.”
“It’s no bother at all. Are we taking Axel with us? I can move the booster seat into my car if you want?”
“Gavin, how thoughtful of you. Such a caring and kind man. Don’t you think so, Danny?” Yep, I was going to murder her. I just needed to figure out where to dump the body. “You know what? While you shower, Marcus will move the booster seat. Won’t you, babe?”
Maddy gave her husband a look that read ‘do what I’m telling you to do’.
“Yeah.” Marcus looked at his wife. “I can move the seat. Not like I wanted to go shower myself or anything.”
Maddy let out a laugh. “I knew I married you for a reason. Okay, now off you go, Gavin. Time is getting wasted. I need those supplies.”
