“You’re teasing me, girl. That’s not very nice.”
“Never claimed to be nice,” she replied.
“But I know you are. You’re my good little girl, aren’t you?”
Doesn’t mean anything. Doesn’t mean he’s a Daddy. It’s just sexy talk.
But it was hot sexy talk.
“Am I?” She ran a finger over his skin, above the top of his shirt. “Maybe I don’t want to be a good girl.”
“You can’t change what you are, girl.” He stared down at her lips.
This was it.
She was getting kissed. And she didn’t think she’d been this nervous since her first kiss.
Suddenly, he drew back, leaving her bereft. She gaped as he moved a couple of steps away, running his fingers through his hair.
“What . . . what are you doing?”
“I shouldn’t be doing this with you.”
She narrowed her gaze at him. “Why not?” She glanced down at herself. “What’s wrong with me?”
If he said something mean to her, then she was . . . she was going to punch him in the nose. Then cry.
Yeah, she’d definitely cry.
His eyes widened and he surprised her by moving back and cupping her face between his hands. His gaze was so intense that it stole her breath.
“There is nothing wrong with you, girl. And I won’t hear you say that there is.”
“I didn’t say that there was . . . it was . . . you . . .”
His face filled with understanding. “I wasn’t rejecting you. There’s nothing wrong with you. But I can’t give you anything more than this.”
“What do you mean? More than what?” What was he talking about?
“More than sex. I can’t give you anything more than sex.” He stepped back again. “Now, I’ll call you a cab and take you downstairs to wait.”
“Hold on, buster. Who said I wanted anything more than sex?”

Gray stared down at her in shock.
Did she just say what he thought she said?
“What?”
“Who said I wanted anything more than sex?” She put her hands on her hips, giving him a sassy look filled with challenge.
One that made him want to take her over his knee and smack her ass until she turned to mush. Then set her on her knees in front of him so he could take that delicious mouth with his dick.
“You don’t want more than sex?” He didn’t know whether to believe her. Was she just saying that because she thought it was what he wanted to hear?
It is what you want to hear.
