“You can change your mind at any time.” He arranged her hair so that it draped over his pecs, the ultra-light blond appearing nearly white against his bronzed skin.
“But I’m going to do my best to make sure you don’t want to.” Tavish kissed her shoulder before glancing up to see if she freaked out. When she didn’t, he continued along it toward the column of her neck. Karolena whimpered as his mouth applied some pressure, sucking in just the right places to make shivers run up her spine.
Legend splayed his huge hand on her lower back, pinning her to him. The motion made it obvious precisely how much he hoped she went through with their liaison. Damn if he wasn’t big all over. Karolena wondered if he would actually be able to make her feel…something, which was more than she could say of her ex in years.
Her heart raced when Tavish stepped closer, catching her between the two men.
Not because she was afraid, but because they chased her doubts from her mind and replaced them with anticipation. Not to be outdone by his partner, Tavish reached for the hem of Karolena’s shirt. James had supplied her with several extra-soft V-necks that had the Shields logo printed over one side in the way of a uniform. She’d added a brand-new pair of black pants that were a cross between a yoga style and super-stretchy denim. They were comfortable and allowed her to move and bend as she was working.
Something about the thought of standing before them, bare, drew her up short. Silly when she was set on wringing every bit of pleasure from them that she could, but she at least wanted them to go first. Karolena tensed, wondering if they’d think she was too much effort if she let her quirks show.
Legend put his hand over Tavish’s and prevented him from moving. “Wait a second. She seized up.”
Tavish dropped his fingers and looked to her for guidance. Her hesitation evaporated. This was not how things had gone in the past. No one was forcing her to move faster than she wanted, mocking her for the fear that came with inexperience, or insisting it would all be fine if she’d just go along with it and stop being a baby.
“Thanks,” she whispered to Legend before nuzzling his chest. His sturdy arms wrapped around her, hugging her and rocking slightly as Tavish did the same from behind. They held her close, bundled safely between them, and waited until her breathing settled before stroking her hair.
“We won’t do anything you’re uncomfortable with. Just tell us if we cross a line and we’ll stop. Immediately.” Tavish read her mind.
“What do you want to happen next?” Legend asked her.
As hypocritical as it was, she was dying to look at them. To feast on the results of their time in the mammoth gym she’d toured downstairs the day before. “Will you undress for me? Even if I want to keep my clothes on as much as possible for as long as possible?”
What if someone came to get them again? She didn’t want to be scrambling to find her underwear and, frankly, her self-confidence was practically non-existent despite the way the two of them were touching her with reverent glides of their fingers over her skin.
It was a lot. Overwhelming if she exposed too much of herself to them too soon.
“Are you kidding? We basically have to beg Tavish to wear clothes. If it was up to him, he’d be strutting around this place naked all the time,” Legend joked, helping to ease the tension even further.
“I can’t wait for Bare Natural’s grand opening.” Tavish bent to unlace his boots, kicking them off so they clomped into the corner before he attacked his three-quarter-sleeved shirt, the arms of which were a light gray while the body was white. Three buttons at the neck allowed her a glimpse of the dusting of hair there. It matched the amber on his legs. Next he revealed the rest of his torso to her. He was trim where Legend was bulk. Both were masterpieces. “One of James’s old Powertools crew has a naturist resort out by the Hot Rides garage on the edge of town. It’s going to be great.”
“Does that mean…?” Karolena looked to Legend for translation, never having heard that word in English before.
“That his tight Scottish ass will be tramping through the woods buck naked?” Legend laughed. “Yup.”
Karolena couldn’t imagine being that bold. Then again, she’d never suspected she’d be a very willing participant in a threesome on her first day of her new life.
In the time it took for them to tease him, Tavish had already worked the thick black leather belt from his kilt and dropped it on the floor, inspiring her shivers.
“Still okay?” Legend asked as his hand rode low on her back, resting on the top swell of her ass. His protective possessiveness did more to turn her on than the sight of them both half-naked.
She nodded before hugging him tight, tilting her face so she could soak in as much of Tavish as possible. Neither of the men moved to expose their lower halves. It surprised her when Legend looked to Tavish for direction. She would have assumed he would take charge of the pair but at most they were equals and she was starting to pick up on hints that it might be the other guy who held the reins when it came to fooling around.
Interesting.
Vladimir would never have taken direction from anyone about her or how he used her. They couldn’t possibly have been more different.
Tavish smiled at her then, extending his hand. “Let me take you somewhere comfortable. I know of a perfectly made bed right down the hall.”
Did he really want to do this in one of their bedrooms?
No, that wouldn’t do. The last thing she wanted was to make love in his personal space and forget that this was only a way to rebel and to experience the pleasure she’d seen men willing to kill, steal, and lie for. Instead of coming clean about how vulnerable she really was to them and their kindnesses, Karolena shook her head. “Too far. Here. Right here.”
Legend looked to Tavish, then to the solid slab of a mammoth dining room table that stretched out in the open space beyond the pass-through kitchen. Black iron legs held up a polished chunk of tree with bark on the irregular edges.
When Tavish nodded, Legend wrapped his hands around her waist and plucked her from the floor. Though it was completely unnecessary to keep her steady in his grasp, she curled her legs around his hips and clung to him as he carried her to the other room.
Tavish strode in front of them, moving a chair out of the way at the head of the table so Legend could set her on it, her profile to the expanse of windows. The cross-section of the massive tree had been oiled and encased in some kind of shiny stuff that made it smooth, and a bitch to clean. She groaned.
