“Yes.”
He brushed her hair back from her face with his free hand. “Why don’t you lie down? Tomorrow we can spend the day on the beach. If you want to talk, we’ll talk. If you’d rather relax in silence, that’s okay, too. But I do have one question.”
She glanced up at him and raised her eyebrows.
“Have you been to a doctor?”
She shook her head. “Not yet.”
“Then that’s the first thing on the agenda when we get back. Can we agree on that?”
Her fingers curled into the bedspread. “Yes. We’re agreed.”
He relaxed, knowing she’d be taken care of. “Now for however long we stay in paradise, we enjoy.”
