“You alright?”

“I will be, I think. I will never get over how good you are at that.”

“I like who I get to practice with. It makes a difference.” He kissed me again before slipping his hand under my waist, nudging himself against my entrance. “You good for round two?”

“I may have to just lie there,” I teased before I rested my heels on his ass. There was a long moment when Deacon didn’t do or say anything. Forcing myself onto my shoulders, I peered at him. “Everything okay?”

“I don’t have a condom.” That was a first. Then again, every other time up until this moment, we’d only hung out because weknewit was going to lead to sex. This—this felt different. There was a different purpose here and feelings that hadn’t ever been spoken about before.

“That’s okay,” I said softly, clearing my throat to make my voice stronger. “I want this.”

He gazed down at me as if he was trying to discern whether I was only saying this to appease him.

“You’re sure?”

“Yes.” I sat up more, cupping his cheek.

“If we do this, there’s no going back. If I come inside of you, you’re mine. Forever.” He growled the word, making it reverberate in my belly.

“There’s no one else I ever want to be with again. I want you, exactly as you are, and nothing in between us anymore.” A grin creased his face as he nodded his head, and I let out a sigh of relief, flopping back. “Now, please, don’t keep your audience waiting.”

“I’ll try not to.” He grinned as his cock slid along the slick wetness of my orgasm. His cock head brushed against my sensitive nub once more, making me croon.

“Oh God, please don’t tease.”

“No?” He said with a smile that was certainly teasing. Shaking my head, he nodded in understanding and shifted his position once more, this time sinking straight in until he was buried and fulling me completely.

“Deacon … Don’t stop.”

“Never, babe, promise.” With that, he drew his hips back and rocked himself into me once more, pressing harder and deeper, making my toes curl. Then, he picked up the pace, finding our rhythm as he pushed me to the edge once more.

I don’t knowhow long we spent on the edge of the cliff, exploring each other and chasing our ecstasy, but by the time we’d finished, the night had fully taken over, and the fire had died out. Our skin was cold, but neither of us felt it as we found other ways to stay warm.

But staying outside overnight wasn’t practical, not when the nights still dipped into the cooler temperatures. So, we packed up, and, using the flashlights on our phones, we got back to Deacon’s truck before heading to my place.

We should’ve been satisfied by our tryst in the woods, but by the time we got to my bedroom, both of us were ready to celebrate the new direction our relationship was going. Neither of us had talked about the details of telling Forrest and coming out to his family, but I figured that was something we could approach later after we tired ourselves out thoroughly.

“Do you want a glass of water?”

“Sure,” I smiled as I slipped out from under the sheets to head to the bathroom for a pee. Deacon left, buck naked, and went to the kitchen.

As I was relieving myself, a shout came from downstairs.

“Are you fucking kidding me?!”

“Calm down, Forrest.”

“No, I’m not going to fucking calm down. Itoldyou. I fuckingTOLDyou!” I rushed to finish and hurried back into the bedroom. Grabbing a dress, I tugged over my head before running down the stairs to find Forrest and Deacon, standing there with a tea towel covering his cock, nearly coming to blows in my hallway.

“She was off-limits! She’s my best friend. Can’t you find someone else to fuck? Why does it have to be her?!”

I opened my mouth to stop this insanity, to tell Forrest I wasn’t a property he had permission to control when Deacon spoke first.

“Because I love her!” Both Forrest and I stared at him in silent shock. My heart kicked up its speed, and a stupid smile crept onto my face as he turned slowly to look at me, shrugging his shoulders.

Forrest recovered before I did when he scoffed. “You don’t even know her. How can you love her, Deac?”
