“Stay with me tonight?” I ask him when we get to my door.
“That was the plan.”
I turn and swipe the card to open the door.
We undress and climb into bed together. Facing each other.
“I hope you know, now after this month, what an incredible woman you are and that you deserve only the best.”
His voice is low, and then he leans over and kisses my forehead. The force of tears gets caught in my throat. I don’t want to cry.
I look up at him and stretch my neck until our lips meet. Then it’s like the night goes in slow motion.
Chapter 28
Sarah
Thewayhishandsmove along my body, taking every piece of clothing off. Slow motion.
The way his lips move from along the outside of my legs and up my torso. Then, as he makes his way to my breasts, his tongue starts licking, his teeth biting my nipples. Slow motion.
When his length runs along my clit, teasing me. Slow motion.
How his hands find my hair and the gentle pull. The way I grab onto his shoulder, feeling his soft skin warm on the palm of my hands. Slow motion.
And when he pushes into me, we both let out a moan. A moan that says it all. The heartache we are both feeling, the amazing time we had together. Slow motion.
The way his lips find mine again, so soft. How we don’t have sex, we make love. Slow motion.
Then, the way our orgasms reach their peak at the same time, and we hold on to each other hard. Slow motion.
Wanting to remember every touch, every sound, every sensation. I’ll never forget him.
“I’ll never forget you,” he says to me before sliding out. I turn, and he warms my backside with his body. His arm around my waist, he pulls me to him. I fall asleep to the sound of us.
Chris
“I guess this is goodbye,” she says to me.
I don’t want to let go of her hands. I want her to stay. That’s selfish of me though. She had a life before me. We've had an amazing month together, and who knows, she might want to try a long-distance thing. But I’ll cross that bridge when and if we get there after she gets home and settled.
“I suppose so. As much as I don’t want you to leave.”
She looks at me with such sorrow in her eyes. I can tell this is hard for her too.
“I’ll call you as soon as I get home.”
She pulls her hands from me and wraps them around the back of my head before pushing onto her toes and kissing me. I wrap her in my arms and pull her as close to me as possible. I never want to forget how she feels against me.
“Alright everyone, let’s go.” This from the bus driver who is taking them to the airport.
I let her go, and she softly kisses my cheek and pulls away.
“Thank you for making this trip more than I could have ever imagined it would be.”
“It was my pleasure. Goodbye, Sarah.”
“Goodbye, Chris.”
