Amy looked over at her.

“I can’t sleep anymore,” she said, apologetically, and then she disappeared into the bathroom.

Sally checked the clock. It showed 4:49 a.m. She fell back onto the mattress, sighing, staring up at the ceiling. From behind the closed bathroom door she heard Amy brushing her teeth.

She was upset. Was it really too much to expect that Amy stay in bed with her, especially after being brought to orgasm? And even though Sally had just come, she was all charged up now, ready for more; ergo, it would have been nice if instead of hurrying to get dressed, anxious to go into the other room and work on her blog, Amy had instead remained with Sally and let even more carnal things develop.

But no; rather than that happening, Amy had hopped up and skedaddled into the bathroom as if she couldn’t wait to get the hell out of the bedroom.

Sally’s mouth tightened.

It was as if the great orgasm Amy had just given her had been…

Obligatory.

Yes! That was it. It now had this obligatory feeling to it. Sally recalled their conversation from a couple of mornings ago—the morning Sally had woken up and found Amy working on her blog in the other room; the morning Sally told her that if Amy couldn’t sleep at four-whatever in the morning that Amy could wake her up and they’d find other things to do.

So…did Amy eat her out just now only so that Sally wouldn’t complain about her wanting to work on her blog?

Seriously?

The door to the bathroom opened and Amy came out, humming. Sally sat up against the headboard.

“Hey,” she said, stopping Amy from heading out of the bedroom.

“Hey, what’s up?”

“Tell me the truth. Did you want to go down on me just then?”

Amy’s eyebrows raised.

“What are you talking about?” she asked.

Sally stared at her.

“I just want to know if when you woke up, unable to sleep anymore, if your first thought was, ‘God, I want to go down on my sexy girlfriend’ or was it, ‘I really want to go work on my blog but I’d better go down on Sally first or else she’ll come out there and complain’?”

Amy’s jaw dropped open.

“Fuck, what do you want from me, Sally?” she exclaimed. “First you tell me that if I wake up super early there are certain better things I can do than just go work on something, but now you’re telling me that you’re not happy that I did one of those certain things!”

“So you didn’t want to go down on me!”

“Fuck! I always want to go down on you, Sally! Was that my first thought as soon as I woke up? Fine, no, it wasn’t. But who cares? I did it, didn’t I?”

Sally felt like she’d been slapped.

“You did it?” she scoffed. “Way to make it sound like doing the laundry!”

“Aargh!” Amy stomped her foot in frustration. “That’s not what I meant and you know it!”

Sally crossed her arms.

“Don’t fucking touch me if it’s going to be an obligation!” she said.

Amy’s eyes flashed.

“Oh my god, are you serious? What is wrong with you?”
