boyfriend are easy-going, and Billy will be too preoccupied
chasing after Johnny.”
Billy and his girlfriend had just had a baby eight months
earlier, and now that their son was mobile it took all their
efforts just to keep up.
“Oh right. We should baby proof the tree too. Definitely no
décor on the lower branches.”
“Good thing you thought of it!”
Quinn and Dallas
had talked about starting a family, but
they just weren’t ready yet. They were planning on adopting
and wanted to start the process in the summer since it could
take a while. They were both excited about it, and they were
planning on telling their families when they were all there for
Christmas.
“Okay, so here?” Quinn asked again, but she was trying to
hold back a grin.
“Yup. Looks good.”
“It’s going to look better decorated.”
They hadn’t gone for any theme. With a blue tree, they just
bought the ornaments they liked because they were fun and
funky.
“We have all the gifts?”
“Yup.” Dallas went through a mental checklist of the gifts
they had upstairs, just to be sure.
“And the gift bags?”
“Yup. I got them after work yesterday. There’s gift boxes
too. And wrap for Johnny’s gifts, since he might think it’s
more fun to open them that way than just picking stuff out of a
gift bag.”
