“I think we should go sit.” I’m glad that Thorn hasn’t gone too far off the railings. I’m sure if he did, Viktor could reel him in better than I could. We go to a whiskey lounge and order some drinks, soda for Thorn.
“What’s going on?” Tana asks.
“He assaulted her this morning,” I say, which makes me hate myself since I didn’t keep her safe.
“He did what?” Tana screeches, “where is she? Take me to her.”
I smile a little bit because they care about her like she’s already my wife.
“Let’s go,” I usher all of us back into the elevator and head up to my suite.
We open the door and Remo smiles at everyone but gestures that she’s asleep again.
“So, you can see she’s sleeping. How about we go back down, finish our drinks and talk plans?”
“I think you will be pleased with what we have in mind,” mom says.
“I’m sure I will, mother,” I chuckle.
We go back down to the same lounge we were at and talk about the wedding.
“We know you want a beach wedding. Thorn told me that she loves Disney. I thought of a Disney Beach wedding. They take care of everything. We just choose the meals for the reception and the flowers. They do the rest. She will love it and it’s on the beach, no shoes required until the reception.”
“I like that idea,” I agree.
“Glad I could help. Thorn, what are her favorite colors and flowers?” My mom asks him.
“She loves lilies and lilacs. I would say purple, pink, white are her favorite colors, but more of a fall feeling to those colors.”
“Not going to ask why you would know that,” I chuckle.
“Shut up,” Thorn socks my arm.
“I can work with that. I’ll let you know what colors of ties you will be wearing next week,” mom says.
“Now back to Lane, Vik can you put some extra men around Briar tomorrow, just in case?”
“Yeah, they’re here since Tana is here. She can stick with Briar.”
“Thanks. I mean he’s after me, but he’s already hurt her once. I’m not taking any chances.”
“Not a problem,” Viktor says.
“Everyone get some sleep. After the fight we can do some sightseeing before heading home.”
“We’ll meet you at the arena tomorrow,” mom kisses my cheek and I laugh when she does the same to Thorn, who glares at me.
Tristan and I drop Thorn at his suite and head up to ours. When we step in, Remo is coming out of my room.
“She was asleep, so I put her to bed. Holden went to go get food so I stayed with her.”
“You’re good, man. Thanks. See you in the morning,” I go to my room and strip out of my clothes before crawling in bed and wrapping my arms around her, happy she’s in my arms.
