“I’m so glad you came,” I beam at her.
“I don’t like fighting, but I want to support him,” she admits.
“Just like Briar,” Thorn smiles at her.
“We can sit in his office until it’s over. I need to look up some things for New York. Kingston invited you,” I say, in case he forgot.
“I don’t know how to thank him enough. I have never been to New York and now I’m going with all of you. It’s exciting,” she gushes.
“We can look up things to do and places to eat, make a list while the fight is going on,” I say and she nods, “I’m going to wish them luck.”
I leave Remo with the others and go to his office, knocking first.
“Yeah?” Kingston calls out so I push open the door.
“I wanted to wish you both good luck,” I smile at both men.
“He was giving me pointers,” Caleb returns my smile, “though I’m still going to get my ass handed to me.”
“You’ll put up a good fight,” I assure him.
“Are you going to watch?” Kingston asks me.
“No, Piper and I are going to be in here, looking up restaurants and things to do for New York,” I inform him.
“Sounds like a plan,” Kingston strides across the room to kiss me.
“King, I need you to sit down,” I need to tell him about Lane.
“What’s wrong? Did he break something?”
“No, Remo assured me nothing is broken, though after this I will need to rest my voice. Lane was at the hospital,” I say and King throws open the door, yelling for Remo.
“What the fuck, man?” King yells at him.
“Sit down, asshole. I took care of her. Not a scratch on her,” Remo smirks. Kingston looks at me and I nod.
“What did you do to him?” King quirks a brow.
“I told him my name,” Remo grins and Kingston follows.
“Good,” King says before pulling me in for a hug. “Thank you.”
“Always. She’s going to be family,” Remo replies, before taking a seat.
“Hayes will be here today. Tell him about the encounter so he can file a report and have it on record,” Kingston says and I nod.
“I’ll tell him since she needs to try and not talk,” Remo says and I’m forever grateful for him today.
“Yeah, good. Caleb go warm up a little bit,” Kingston says and Caleb bounds out of the room.
“Kingston, I was wondering if I could talk to you alone?” Remo asks.
“I’m going to go get a latte. Klaus is working, and Tristan can go with me,” I say and Kingston nods. Piper follows Caleb.
I head for the front door and like a good man that he is, Tristan is on my heels.
“You can’t walk off like that,” he scolds me as we walk across the street.
