I grinned, turning to peek at the back of the swimsuit in the mirror. “You think so?”
Ellie nodded, pressing her palms to her cheeks. “Yes. Most definitely. You have to get it.”
It was cute. “I think you might be right.” I laughed nervously, thinking about the pile of clothes I already wanted to buy.
“You know where you should wear that suit?” Ellie’s mouth twisted into a wicked grin.
I narrowed my eyes at her. “Where would that be?”
“The falls! Me, Ty, and Knox are all going this weekend. You wanna come?”
I tilted my head. “Are there actual falls here? Like, waterfalls?”
Ellie rolled her eyes, ignoring my question. “It’s a bit of a hike to get there, but the scenery is beautiful. You won’t regret it.”
I glanced at the mirror again, meeting my own eyes. The falls. A hike. I had plans for the weekend with a group of actual friends.
If I didn’t know any better, I’d say the girl staring back at me looked genuinely happy.
