Sara soundslike she’s handling herself.
“I understand, I need to pay for my stay so far and tonight’s stay.”
She's starting to sound annoyed now. If there is one thing she hates, it’s when people talk to you like you’re stupid.
“Yes, Miss Raine, shall I use the card you booked the room with?”
“Yes,” she sighs. “Isn’t that the whole point of why you take people's card details?” She says the last part under her breath.
I can’t help but laugh. I pull out my credit card and hand it to Sara. “Use my card. It’s my fault you’re checking out early.”
She looks at the card. I know she wants to take it, but I know she also has some pride. She also knows I’ll go over her head. May as well give her the illusion that she has a choice.
“Can I pay with this card instead?”
She grumbles at the receptionist.
I smile at her, then go back to my phone.
