“How did you get so dusty?”
He stops just inside the bathroom door as he leans down to pull his jeans off.
“We attacked Sean’s house.”
What? Why would they go there?
“Why? Did you think you could get more info?”
Dag nods before he turns to look at me, his perfectly sculptured body completely naked.
“I also went there to kill him.” He nods when I gasp. “Yes, he was alive, but he is now dead. You can be assured of that now.”
My hand rises to my heart. He killed Sean for me! “If anyone finds out you will go to jail,” I whisper, worried that he has just got himself into a lot of trouble because of me, but he shakes his head.
“No one is going to jail, trust me.”
I nod, but the worry is still there.
“Now, about these questions, are you sure you want to do it?”
I approach him, knowing without a doubt that this man will do anything for me, and I can trust him completely.
Placing the palm of my hand on his chest, I look up at his beautiful, intense green eyes. “Yes, I need to do this. If there is a chance that we can find the women and help them, then I will do everything I can. They asked if I knew the name Aldor. I have heard it before, but don’t really know it. But, there is a lot about the Desperados that I do know. If what I know helps in stopping them from doing what they have been doing, then I agree completely in helping.”
Dag lifts his hand, placing it over mine on his chest as he lowers his head and kisses my lips gently. “I will be there. If anything becomes too painful, just let me know and we will stop.”
“I will, I trust you.” My words have his expression lighten with a splitting smile. I know that for him, my trust is important, as his trust is important to me. I’m hoping that by helping the Elementals in finding the women or any other information that I can help them with, then Dag will trust me when I say that I’m here to stay.
