“I need to get this over to Celmund and Bion, so they can look into it,” Tor states. “Garth, print all of those out and place them in the meeting room, so we can also look at them.”
Garth nods as he takes his phone back.
“That isn’t all, you guys are going to love this,” Colborn says with a wink. “Remember a few years ago, Draco’s chapter ran into a group of humans that seemed to be enhanced?”
“Yeah?” Tor replies.
“Well, I think some of those guys might have joined the gang, because Garth and I were attacked by four of those motherfuckers.” Now that is interesting, because if I remember correctly, those guys were experiments that the government was running to try to replicate our breed. I’m sure that I heard one of the men from the Nurture Valley chapter say that they had destroyed all vestiges for that project.
“Fuck me,” Tor grunts as he pulls out his phone and dials a number.
A minute later, a deep voice answers and says, “Tor!”
“Draco, we might have a problem.” Draco and Tor are strong alphas that sometimes butt heads, because of their different ways of leading their men, but they respect each other and are close friends that have been fighting the same battle for centuries.
“What?” Draco isn’t much for words, but when he talks, everyone around him pays attention.
“Remember those enhanced fuckers you guys ran into a couple of years back? Well, it looks like they are back.” There are a few seconds of silence after Tor reports his findings, but when Draco replies it surprises all of us.
“So, it’s true,” he says.
“You knew about this?” Tor asks in surprise, his expression darkening in anger.
“No. We suspected and have been investigating, before you get yourself worked up.”
“Fuck, I wish you would tell me these things.”
“There was nothing to tell. Now that it has been confirmed, I can tell you that we think that Aldor has been funding a project to get these enhanced humans commissioned again.”
“He needs to fucking die,” Tor growls angrily.
“He will, but first we need to find out everything about his organization,” Draco states.
“Garth is sending intel to Celmund that we found at one of the crack houses we visited. It has some interesting info of how they are finding the women,” Tor updates.
“Visited?” Draco asks. “Because from what I heard, there were a few unexplained occurrences happening all around Cape Town.”
“All under control,” Tor snaps
“Okay, I will let you know what they pick up from the info sent,” Draco says before disconnecting.
Tor turns his gaze on me. “Does your woman know anything else that we don’t know?”
At his question, I shrug. I haven’t asked Esmeralda anything, as I haven’t wanted her to think that all we wanted was for her to give us information.
“I will ask.” I don’t want to, but I know that it is necessary to know if there is anything that might help us fight Aldo.
“Soon,” Tor orders before he looks away.
“There is something else you need to know,” I say, which has his eyes turning to me again. “Today one of the assholes told us that Sean is still alive.”
Tor raises one of his brows and then nods. “We suspected as much. Do you know where he is?” he asks.
“Apparently, he has been holed up at his place,” Tal reveals before lifting his beer to his lips.
“Right under our fucking noses,” Colborn mutters angrily
“I want him!” I state, looking at Tor unwaveringly. He needs to know that no matter what, I will kill Sean.
Tor has a pensive expression. His reply is slow in coming, but when he finally agrees, it feels like I’m one step closer to vanquishing Esmeralda’s nightmares.
