Chapter Fourteen

Fallon pulled ingasping breaths, her heart pounding so hard she wondered if her ribs would shatter.“Best piece of furniture ever.”Fallon’s sense of pride she’d been able to speak was out of proportion to the simple statement she managed around the dense fog clouding her brain. As soon as Fallon saw Carson leaning back in the chair, she’d understood the appeal.Being able to lower herself onto his erection, taking him into her body at a pace she could control, was empowering.

He would carry the half-moon imprints of her fingernails for several hours, and Fallon sent up a silent prayer of thanks she hadn’t broken the skin.Nothing screamed a lack of sophistication and experience like poking holes in your partner. Her first release blindsided her before he was fully seated inside her channel. The smile Carson gave her held equal parts pride and warning. They hadn’t specifically told her to hold off her orgasm, but she’d read enough to know it was an implied expectation.

“Don’t worry, sweetheart.Your reaction was damned amazing to watch, and from the tortured look on Carson’s face, I’d say it was intense for him as well. There will be plenty of time for play rules.Absent instructions, follow your body’s lead. We’ve been Doms for a long time, so we’ll know when you are close to release.”

Each subsequent orgasm had been more intense than the one before.By the time Silas eased himself into her rear hole, Fallon was convinced she was being split in two.How her body accommodated both men was a mystery for the ages, but the intensity of pleasure quickly collapsed all the synapses of her nervous system. All the cells had been firing like Revolutionary War cannons, but none of the messages hit their target.Hell, after living in a fog of grief and exhaustion for so long, Fallon hadn’t thought it was possible to lose herself so completely in pleasure.

“Stay where you are, Sweetheart.I’ll be right back.”Silas gave the command as he pulled from her body. The feeling of his cock retreating had her gasping before a soft moan passed her lips. Both men chuckled, but neither said anything.Carson’s arm fell over her waist, anchoring her to his chest.Fallon would have laughed at his attempt to keep her from falling when it seemed he barely dropped his arm over her but doubted he’d find the observation amusing.

“She’s not going anywhere and has earned herself a couple of swats for doubting I can keep her from tumbling to the floor.Insulting as hell.”

Fallon might have been concerned if she hadn’t felt his chest vibrating against her cheek with silent laughter.

“I didn’t say any such thing. There has to be a loophole for inference and erroneous interpretation.”

“Darlin’, I was born and raised in the swamps by women who taught me, listening involves more than what your ears hear. You have to listen with your soul if you want to know what someone is thinking.”

Damn.Fallon couldn’t think of a response since she had no experience with the culture of southern women. She’d heard they were fiercely loyal, with mystical gifts sometimes bordering on spooky, but she’d yet to meet anyone outside the tightknit Prairie Winds Club circle.

“We’ll make sure you are well-prepared to meet Carson’s family.Mine, on the other hand, will be a breeze.”

Fallon yelped when she realized Silas was standing directly behind her.She tried to recover a small shred of decency by closing her splayed legs, but a stinging swat stopped her.

“Never hide yourself from us, Fallon. There is no room for embarrassment in the relationship we want with you.”She started to protest, but another swat on the opposite side made her clamp her mouth shut.Silas used a warm, wet cloth to clean her most intimate parts.Despite her earlier attempts to forestall him, Fallon finally relaxed in his care.

“That’s better, Cher.Let us take care of you. We’re looking forward to showing you there are a lot of hidden perks to a D/s relationship.”

Carson’s words vibrated against her chest, sinking deep into her soul.It surprised her to realize, for the first time since she left New York, she’d pushed all her worries to the back burner. She hadn’t worried about Hagan or what that blasted puzzle might reveal. She lost herself in the pleasure with no concern for the snag she’d hit getting her license transferred.Fallon might be physically exhausted from her first ménage experience, but there was a new level of energy simmering below the surface she’d never experienced.

Carson could practicallyhear the wheels of Fallon’s mind spinning as she tried to sort through her emotional response to ménage. He’d felt the intensity of their connection, and his feelings were reflected in her eyes.Over the years, he’d seen subs completely shut down after a scene as emotionally charged as the one they’d shared. It felt like they’d waited an eternity for her, giving Carson and Silas more than enough time to plan for every contingency, including this one.But like all plans you are forced to make based on vague details, everything starts getting dicey when reality hits.

Once Silas finished patting Fallon’s tender tissues dry, he lifted her from Carson’s chest. When she swayed on her feet, Silas didn’t hesitate to scoop her into his arms and move to the enormous bed.Carson could hear his friend talking softly to Fallon as he tucked a cover around her.“Close your eyes for a few minutes, Sweetheart. We’ll answer all the questions I can see in them, I promise. Before you drift off, it’s important you know how perfect you are for us.”Carson couldn’t agree more.

By the time he’d taken a quick shower, Silas was waiting in the kitchen with fresh coffee. They stepped out onto the deck facing the river. Before Fallon, Carson had spent little time in the private inner sanctum of the Wests. He’d spent a lot of time designing and programming some of their security systems.Setting up the main suite’s shower was one of the perks of specializing in applied computer programming—he’d been able to tweak the original setup to add lights and sound. This was the first time he’d spent any significant amount of personal time ensconced in the Prairie Winds compound.

“This place has to be the nicest damned prison in the world.I can see why Tobi wanted to move outside the secured perimeter.”Knowing your every move was being recorded, that every word you spoke outside the confines of your private apartment was being overheard must have been exhausting.Silas nodded his head in agreement.

“We both grew up in very close-knit social environments.Hell, the old saying, everyone knew what you were doing if you couldn’t remember was so true of my small enclave, but the joke was lost on half the population.Honestly, I’m more worried about the false sense of security Fallon might get if she lives here too long.Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled she is safe—but I don’t want her to forget there is a real and credible threat lurking too close.”

“I hope Lilly can shed some light on what her parents might have been up to.My gut tells me Lilly holds the key that will be our turning point with this mystery.Hagan Brody’s background indicates he’s a love ’em and leave ’em sort, who wouldn’t give a rat’s ass if a woman walked out, so what’s his end-game?”

“From what Tobi said, he seemed to be answering to someone else.It will be important to find out who is pulling the strings.”Silas finished Carson’s thoughts with his usual precision. The two of them had been friends long enough to understand how the other one would react and interpret information in most situations.

“Let’s get some sleep.I noticed Fallon was restless when I checked on her before coming out here.I can’t tell you how pleased I am that she sleeps so well between us.She may seem unfazed by everything that’s happened to her, but I think she has been so focused on getting through school, dealing with the grief of losing her parents, and building a career, she is ignoring the pain. She’ll continue to push anything remotely resembling distress or fear to the back of her mind until something snaps.”Silas agreed but was surprised Carson had made such an in-depth observation.Carson usually saw things in black and white with very little falling into the gray area most people labeled as feelings.Smiling to himself, Silas counted it as another sign Fallon was the one they’d been waiting for.
