With a crooked smile, Carson pulled Miller to his side. “Yeah. We’re together.”
“When’d this happen?”
Miller, Trenton, and I all spoke at the same time. “The camping trip.”
Carson shrugged before pressing a kiss to the side of Miller’s head. “Seeing him hurt made me realize I didn’t want to live a secret anymore.”
“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me!”
“Why?” I asked, feeling as if laughter were just out of my reach. “Because you’re so good at keeping secrets?”
Callie rolled her eyes. “Please. This is a little different from Trenton’s surprise birthday par—” She slapped a hand to her mouth. “Oh, no!”
A chorus of voices yelled, “Callie!”
“I’m sorry!” she mumbled from under her hands. “I told you not to tell me secrets!”
Laughter rumbled through Trenton’s chest, and he pressed a kiss to my head. “It’s okay, love. I suspected something was going on. You and Miller were always sneaking around behind my back.”
I reached up and gripped his cheeks, pulling him until his forehead was pressed to mine. “I wanted to give you something special before we go.”
“You already did, love. You already did.”
