I close the cockpit door and I go to the galley for my coffee. Wishing there was something I could put in my coffee; I drink it black anyway. This is turning out to be the worst flight I’ve had in a while.
Soon enough, it’s time to wake the passengers and get them ready for our landing. There’s a lot of collecting trash, blankets, and pillows. These passengers flying to London are a good bunch- we finish quicker than usual.
It’s time to land, and I’m walking to my seat when out of nowhere, I get pushed into a wall. This shakes me up. I turn just in time to catch Kaitlyn calling me a bitch.
“What’s wrong with you,” I hiss.
Kaitlyn just gives me a smirk and I push myself away from her.
“I know your secret,” Kaitlyn whispers and then walks away.
A chill goes down my spine. What is she talking about? Maybe she knows what I’ve been doing spending all that time in the cockpit with Andrew and Dylan. Have I not been discreet enough?
Could something happen if we are caught? What if Kaitlyn tells her father and gets me fired?
I remind myself that surely, they wouldn’t fire the best pilots of the airline. It would just be me. This industry chews up flight attendants and spits them out just as fast.
I take my seat and buckle up for our landing. My stomach is tight, and I have a horrible feeling. As we land, I wonder what is going to happen to me. I really need this job and I can’t lose it.
