“I think my mouth is watering.”

Archer beamed. “I also got baklava, but I think these sugar cookies are going to beat it.”

“I’m good for anything, I’m starving.” I put my hand over my stomach. “I didn’t eat breakfast or lunch.”

“Killian, that’s not you taking care of yourself.” Archer narrowed his eyes.

I shrugged. “Didn’t feel like eating.”

“Do you want to talk about it at all?” Archer asked as he set out our food.

I let out a breath, trying to do what Danielle and Cassidy would want me to do. “I went up there to talk. I do that sometimes. It wasn’t for any one thing.” I sighed as I reached for a potato. Archer slapped my hand and handed me a fork, and I grinned before I bit into the lemony goodness. “My God.”

“Right?” Archer teased as he took the fork from me and ate the rest of the potato.

I cleared my throat. “I brought you up when I was talking to them.” Archer choked, and I patted his back. “Sorry.”

“No, it’s fine. I just, I don’t know what to say about it.” He met my gaze, and I sucked in a breath, trying to calm my own feelings, which were currently going in a thousand different directions.

“I just told them a bit about you, but I assumed they already knew about you.”

“That’s nice. That they would know. I hope they do. I don’t have an experience like that, but I want you to know I’ll do whatever you need.”

“Because you’re a good man.”

And I’m falling in love with you.

Again, I didn’t say those words out loud.

Archer smiled sappily. “You do make my heart go boom. We’re going to call that a win.” He fluttered his eyelashes, and I groaned before I leaned forward and took his lips with mine.

This time it wasn’t soft or sweet. It was just a little bit harder.

“What is it about you and me and kitchens?”

“What do you say we reheat this food later, your insulated pack be damned?” I muttered against his lips, and I felt more than saw Archer swallow hard.

“I think I would like to see your bedroom right now.” We put the food away, and then we were kissing softly, leading each other back to the bedroom.

Archer’s hand slid up my chest as he stripped off my shirt, and I groaned at the feel of his callused palms over my flesh.

I shucked off his shirt, and then we were doing the same to each other’s pants, both of us taking our time.

It was nice, it was hot, but it wasn’t frantic. It was just the two of us learning each other again, getting to know the feel of one another.

We lay on the bed, facing each other as we kissed, our hands sliding over one another. My hand brushed his backside, and he thrust into me, our dicks sliding against one another, and when Archer did the same to me, spreading me slightly, I groaned, kissing him.

“This is nice,” I whispered.

“The best appetizer ever.”

And then I was pinning Archer to the bed, kissing him hard on the mouth as I straddled him. I couldn’t help it.

He let out a raspy breath as I shimmied down his body, taking his dick in my hand as I knelt between his legs.

“That’s a sight that I love.”

“I hope so, because I’m damn sure enjoying it.” And then I took his cock into my mouth, cupping his balls as I did so. I went slow, tasting him, learning the feel of him in my mouth, like it was our first time and not one of many.
