“So, everyone really does know?” I blew out a big breath. “Well, guess it is what it is.”
“I think I have what I need. I’ll be turning over everything to the prosecutor and she’ll get in touch with you.” He bid his goodbyes and left us on the porch.
Julian sank into the rocker beside me and let out a humorless laugh. “You three just went bulldog for me. Thank you.”
Hank was reaching for him so hard that I had to lean forward and hand him off to Julian. “We’re a…team? I honestly don’t know what the hell we are, but we seem to be doing this. That means we stick together.”
Blake leaned against the porch railing and locked gazes with his brother. “We’re on your side. We won’t let you down again, Julie.”
“We love you, man.”
Julian looked out at the ranch and nodded. “I love you, too.”
“Now that we’ve resolved that, we’re wanted at Kara’s for Sunday brunch.”
I squeezed my eyes shut. “And we’re all going to that together?”
Isaac laughed. “Is there one of us you’d like to leave behind?”
“You suck. I guess we’re doing this. Traveling in a pack so everyone knows I take it up the butt. I just want you all to know that I’m still pissed about no one telling me what the deal was before I fell into it. I still would’ve done it, probably, because I like you three idiots a lot, but I might’ve tried to sneak around a little more.”
“Did you hear that? She likes us.” Blake wagged his brows at me before wrapping his arms around my waist and tossing me over his shoulder. “Plus, the only person thinking about butt stuff is you. You pervert.”
“I hate you.”
