He resumed his ministrations, and once he’d applied the adequate amount of lube, he slowly inserted a finger into her ass. Olivia tensed at the invasion. She was mentally prepared, but her body remained skittish.

“Relax,” he murmured. “That’s it. Good girl.”

More slow thrusts.

Olivia closed her eyes, trying to get used to the sensation.

Breathe. Just breathe.

Eventually, the alien, uncomfortable feeling faded, and she squirmed with need again—especially when Sammy started lapping up her juices with his tongue while he worked her from behind.

“Oh, God!” Olivia’s back bowed as he scraped his teeth over her clit and finger fucked her pussy with his free hand. “Ohgodohgodohgod.” The knot of pleasure at the base of her spine tightened. “I’m going to come. I’m going—”

He inserted a second finger into her ass, and she exploded for the second time that night. Olivia went crazy, her hips bucking and thrashing as a wave of orgasmic bliss swept over her and left her gasping for breath.

Sammy kept his mouth on her until she came down. Only after she collapsed on the bed in a boneless heap did he clean them both off with tissues, crawl up, and brush his lips over the back of her neck.

“How do you feel?”

“Fucking amazing,” Olivia said, eliciting a soft laugh. She turned to look at him. “But you didn’t...”

“Next time. You’re too tight. We’ll work up to it.”

It was stupid, but the promise of “next time” got her all hot and bothered again.

Her eyes dipped to Sammy’s still-rock-hard cock. “Okay,” she murmured throatily. “But in the meantime, how about I take care of that for you?”

Sammy didn’t get a chance to respond before she shifted positions and engulfed him in her mouth, earning herself the world’s sexiest groan. She pulled back and took him in again, and again, and again, each time taking more of him until he hit the back of her throat. She worked him over with her lips and tongue, licking and swirling and sucking until she felt him stiffen.

“Coming,” he gritted out, his hands tightening in her hair.

Olivia doubled down and increased her pace until he flooded her mouth, his hoarse cry echoing in the room, and she didn’t pull away until she’d swallowed every drop.

She glanced up, her lids heavy.

Sammy’s face was flushed, his eyes bright with arousal. She’d never seen anything hotter in her life.

“Did that convince you?” She swiped a tongue over her bottom lip, and he groaned again.

After he regained a semblance of control, he hauled her to her feet, his gaze roaming her face. “I’m convinced you want me in bed,” he said. “But that’s never been our problem, has it?”

Definitely not. Their sexual chemistry was liable to set the room on fire if they weren’t careful.

“No. The problem was...” Olivia faltered. She’d never been big into the whole self-martyr thing because there were better uses of her time, but she was also willing to admit when she’d been wrong. She was the one who’d set their relationship on its downward spiral, starting with her refusal to support him when he announced he wanted to open a bakery and ending with her ill-advised kiss with Edison. Granted, the kiss had happened after she and Sammy broke up, but now that she knew Sammy saw them, she understood why he’d been angry at her for so long. “Me.” She swallowed hard. “The problem was me.”

Sammy’s face softened. “No, it wasn’t. You were never a problem, so don’t say that shit again.”

“Sam—”

“Hold that thought.” He walked over to the dresser and pulled out a T-shirt, which he handed to her. “I don’t want you to freeze while we’re having this conversation.”

Olivia realized then that, duh, they were both still naked.

She slipped his shirt over her head. It was so large it fell to her thighs, and she detected faint notes of Sammy’s scent clinging to the material.

It wasn’t until Sammy also got dressed and they were sitting on the bed that she continued speaking.

“It was me,” she said. “I didn’t support you, and Iwasashamed that you chose baking over NASA. Plus, the Edison thing...” She picked at the hem of the shirt. “I shouldn’t have called him.”
