“Can someone give me their phone?” I ask.

“Sure,” Dean says, brows furrowing. “What for?”

I take the phone from him, ignoring his question and find the contact number I’m looking for. While the phone rings, I wave everyone in to join me on the big king sized bed.

“What the fuck do you want? If it's not another toy to play with, I don’t want to hear your voice.” Beast’s gruff voice rings through the other side. The sound of it makes my heart pick up faster and tears prick at the back of my eyes. Man, I really am going soft. But I haven’t felt like myself, my true self, in years.

“Ouch, I didn’t think my voice was that hard on the ears,” I attempt to tease, but all I can think about is the blood pounding in my ears.

The other end is dead silent, and for a moment I think we got disconnected.

“Harlow?” Beast growls.

“The one and only,” I say, my voice going soft.

“You’re back?”

“I am. I’m at home with everyone.”

“You're safe?”

“I am now.”

“I’m coming home,” he states firmly.

“No. Beast, as much as I want to see you, it’s...”

“It’s Neo you need,” he answers, letting out a sigh. “And it's Queenie I need.”

“Yeah,” I huff out a laugh. “She’s kind of gone on a little vacation in the back of my mind for a little while. She thinks I need some time with my loved ones.”

“She’s right. Neo... he needs you. He’s not fully aware, but he knows something is going on.”

“I’ll go get him,” Dean says, looking over at me from his spot at the edge of the bed. “If he’s ready.”

“You hear that?” I ask Beast. “You think Neo is ready to come home?”

“Yeah. But promise me something,” he growls.

“Depends on what you're gonna ask.”

“Bring Queenie out to play with me soon. I need her like I fucking need air.”

“Don’t worry, she won't stay away for long. And when she's in charge, I’m sure Neo won't mind if you are.”

“Deal,” he says. “And Harlow,” he adds.

“Yeah?”

“It’s interesting meeting you. You know, therealyou.”

“Yeah,” I laugh. “I’ll be honest, I thought this part of me was dead and never coming back.” I look at the people who mean the most to me in the entire world. “But I’m starting to like that she’s not.” At least it’s not a crazy, sick fuck back from the dead. He can stay dead and gone this time.

We hang up the phone, and I hand Dean his cell back.

“So, we're really all about to be home together, in this bed, at once?” Cass says with a smile like he likes the idea, pulling Rosie onto his lap.

“Yeah, we are.” I smile at him.

I’m not sure how long this part of me will be here, but I plan on enjoying it every moment I have her.

The trauma I’ve endured in my life has left my brain a mess, and I’m pretty sure if I went to a doctor, they would probably diagnose me with split personality disorder or something. But if the people in this room love me no matter how fucked up my brain is, then that’s all that matters to me. I've never needed a proper diagnosis before, and I don’t need one now.
