“I didn't kill anyone if that's what you’re asking,” I say, rolling my eyes. “They were just a bunch of teenage assholes who needed a good scare. And what's Halloween without making someone piss themselves?”
Neo bursting out laughing. “I wish I could have seen their faces.”
“Oh, I got you something!” I say, shoving the bowl of candy into a surprised Dean’s hands.
“Did you steal their candy?” Dean asks with amusement dancing in his eyes.
“I think we can all agree this is rightly Rosie’s.”
“Good point.” He nods his head.
“Soooo,” Neo says, bouncing on the balls of his feet. “What did you get me?”
I pull the photo frame from under my armpit, spinning it around for him to see. His eyes light up with excitement. “Is this real?”
“From the way the shithead acted like his mother would kill him if I took it I’m gonna say, yes.”
“This is awesome!” He looks at me like he’s about to fuck me right here on the street.
“Now, now, there are little kids all around us. Let’s not scar them for life,” I giggle. “You can thank me later,” I say with a wink.
“You spoil me, my Queen,” Neo growls.
“And you give me earth-shattering orgasms.” I give him a wink. “I think we're even.”
“Can we go now?” Axel bitches. “I think I’m getting a rash,” he struggles to scratch himself.
“TMI, dude,” I say, scrunching up my nose.
When we catch up to Cass and Rosie, she has calmed down and is now eating a chocolate bar.
“Did any of that make it into your mouth?” I laugh.
“Some,” she mumbles over a mouthful of sugary goodness. She sees someone walking a dog, and her eyes light up. Rosie takes off to go pet it and Neo is right on her heels.
“So?” Cass asks. “How did it go? Did you make the fuckers pay for making my baby cry?” he growls.
“Chill out, Papa Bear.” I grin at him. “Sadly, they were a bunch of teenage stoners. So I only got to fuck with them. I even made one piss his pants.” I wiggle my brows with a grin. His face relaxes, a grin creeping onto his sexy face.
“Thank you,” He cups my face, pulling me in for an intense kiss, and making me moan against his lips.
“You're welcome,” I breathe, swaying on my feet. “But she's my kid too. I’ll always protect her, defend her, and love her.”
“I know,” he says softly, rubbing the tip of my nose with his. “And that's why I love you so much.”
Biting my lip, I don't say anything back. He gives me an understanding smile, and it pisses me off that he’s so fucking amazing and patient when it comes to me expressing my feelings. These guys are turning me into a softie and ruining my street cred. I need to go kill someone soon.
We finally make it home, and the guys go their own way, most likely to take their costumes off. Neo says something about showing Mr. Bacon his new photo.He really loves that damn pig.Always dressing it up, and carrying it around like one of those purse dogs.
I change into some sweats and a hoodie as Cass gets Rosie ready for bed. When I'm done, Cass leaves and I tuck her in, read her a book, sing her a song, and kiss her good night.
“Have fun tonight?” Cass asks from the doorway of his room as I close Rosie’s door behind me.
“Cass.” I take a step towards him.
“Yes?”
“Thank you,” I give him a crooked smile.
