“So... What brings you to my humble abode?” I ask, moving the sucker around with my tongue, making it clink against my teeth.

No one says anything. They’re just staring at me. Well, Neo is staring at my pebbled nipples that are on full display through the thin top.

Cassius clears his throat, the look on his face is packed with guilt and longing. I plaster on a carefree smile as he starts to talk. “We have unfortunately run into a bit of a situation, and we have exhausted all our options. With nowhere else to go for help and the bank not being an option, we come to you, asking if there is any way you could help us?” Cassius says, shifting in his chair.

Neo barks out a laugh. “What Cassy Boy here is trying to say is, our daddies fucked us over good, like a Sunday whore, and we are millions of dollars in the hole. Our dads also fucked over every person they ever did business with, both legal and illegal dealings, and now you're our only hope from losing our company, home, and everything we own,” Neo says with a shrug. He smiles at me like he's ready to pounce over my desk and take me in front of everyone. Oh, silly man, you can't handle me. I’d swallow you whole.

Smiling to myself, I turn away from the sinfully sexy, black-haired man in a leather jacket and over to the sexy man in a gray suit. He’s always so formal.

“Is that right?” my tone playful. I let my feet drop from the desk. “Oh, how the tables have turned,” I say before bursting out into laughter. Lucas, Max, and Tommy laugh with me. They all know what the guys did to me. I don't handle my liquor well, and I made the mistake of letting my guard down and letting loose one night when we started this new life. I blabbered on about my past, told them everything, but they never saw me as anything less than what I was to them sober. But they were, of course, on my side. They can't help but laugh with me at the irony of this whole situation.

The guys look at me like I’m crazy... they're not wrong. Neo, the fucker, is just sitting there all relaxed and smiling like he's the same breed of deranged as I am. He’s always been a little fucked in the head. This I can have fun with.

“What the hell is so funny?!” Axel growls. The sound goes right to my clit, and I hold back a moan. Fuck them for still having this effect on me.

Sobering up from that feeling, I wipe the tears from my eyes. “You,” I say, cocking a brow. “All of you.”

“Care to enlighten us?” Dean says through clenched teeth.

“Happily!” I chirp joyfully. “It's simple. You sent me away. You told me that your world was no place for someone like me, that I'd never survive. The funny thing is, you tossed me right into the belly of the beast that was your world, by doing that,” I say, leaning back into the chair.

“What do you mean?” Cassius asks, his long, light-brown hair falls into his face, and he tucks it away behind his ear. “How did you get here? How did you become this-” he says, his hand gesturing in my direction, “...killer? Youshouldbe married by now, with kids and a house of your own.”

My eyes go wide, and my brows fly up, so high I'm surprised they didn't hit the roof, and stare at them for a brief moment before bursting out into another fit of laughter. I laugh so hard I fall out of my chair. I lay there, laughing like the fucking crazy person I am. I take the hand Lucas is holding out for me and let him help me up.

Standing next to Lucas, I slap him on the arm. “Me, married with kids,” I laugh out. He shakes his head with a smile, knowing that idea is ludicrous. Turning back to the guys, even Neo is sitting up in his chair, his playfulness gone.

“Why would something like that be so funny to you?” Neo asks.

“Well, one thing I can tell you for sure is that there is no husband, no kids.”

“Then what did you do with the money?” Dean snaps. “Twenty grand should have gotten you a good head start in life!”

The laughter stops, and my face goes blank. “What money? What are you talking about?

“You didn't get it,” Cassius breathes in disbelief.

“Get what?!” I snap back, not liking that I don’t know what they are talking about.

“We paid someone to track you down and give you money to start over somewhere else,” Axel answers for his twin brother.

“I don't know what you're talking about, but no one tracked me down, no one gave me any money. I went to LA, lived in a homeless shelter for a few weeks before being kidnapped and held against my will,” I say as if it's nothing. And at this point in my life, I’ve changed so much since then that I don't even care who knowshowI became who I am, as long as they know what I can do now. I have nothing to hide, nothing to be ashamed of. None of the women in this place do. We are survivors, and I stand tall and proud of it. Also, I’m blunt and don't give a fuck.

Dean lets out a curse. “He must have taken the money and ran.”

“Well, yeeeah,” I taunt. “You gave the guy a crap ton of money; who wouldn't?”

“Wait, kidnapped?” Cassius asks, face pale.

“Yup,” I say, popping the P. I sit back in my chair and start spinning myself around. I'm still restless from my kills, and if it weren’t for this meeting, I would have taken Garrett for another few rounds. I have about another hour of sexual energy left in me, and these guys, as much as I hate them, are dripping sex appeal, and that isn’t exactly helping.

“Har...” Cassius says in disbelief, using the nickname from when we were teens. I stop spinning, plant my feet on the ground, reach for one of my daggers in my desk, before gripping it and bringing it down on the desk hard, stabbing it a good centimeter into the wood.

“Don’t. Call. Me. That!” I growl, eyes deadly, and with a sudden urge to take this dagger and ram it into his neck and watch the blood spurt out like a water fountain.

He tries to school his expression, but I still see a little fear in his eyes, and it makes me fucking soaked.

He clears his throat. I sit back down, leaving the dagger where it is. My eyes drift from one guy to another. They all look pissed, but not at me.
