The guys lead us into the club, down a long, doorless hallway. Upbeat music with a heavy bass meets my ears and gets louder the further we head in. At the end of the hall there’s a black door.I feel like this is starting to become a recurring color scheme here.

Lucas stops with his hand flat on the door and turns to us. “Before you go in there, you need to know the rules,” he says, all the playfulness from before gone. “They're pretty simple. Respect the girls. No touching or asking to touch. If they want you to put your hands on them, then they will have to ask you themselves; otherwise, keep them to yourself. No catcalling or shouting disgusting comments. However, after each dance, you are allowed to clap and cheer if you want to.”

“Not saying I would, but what happens if you break these rules?” Neo asks with curiosity, one brow raised and a twitch of his lip. He’d better watch his mouth before he screws this all up before we can even get to our meeting.

The guy turns his attention to Neo. That slow, creepy smile finds its way back onto his face. “Then Queenie makes an example out of you. Could go one of two ways. Leave with some broken bones and your life, or her pretty face is the last thing you ever see. Depends on what rule and how severely you break it.”

“Fuck, that's hot,” Neo groans, clearly turned on. Scoffing, I turn to him, ready to tell him to smarten up, but Axel beats me to it.

“For fuck’s sake, Neo, get yourself together,” he growls.

Neo adjusts himself in his pants and smiles. “I’m not even fucking sorry. She sounds like a sinfully delicious monster.”

Lucas ignores his comment and continues, “Make sure you stick to the rules, and you should be fine.” Turning back around, he pushes the door open, leading into the main club.

The music is loud, and the club is pretty crowded for a Thursday night. The entire club is lined with black and red. Red chairs at every black table, red and black leather couches on the far-left wall. There seems to be three levels with a single row of tables and chairs on each one. On the far right is a bar with what looks like high-end liquor.

The guys come to stand next to me, looking around at the very classy club. It looks pretty clean from what I can see. A subtle hint of cinnamon flows around the room.

“I’ll come back and get you when it’s almost time, but for now, you can hang out at the bar.” Lucas says, before heading off down another hall to our left.

After about forty minutes of sipping a drink or two and making small talk with the twins, while Neo lights up like a kid in a candy store as he takes in all the surrounding women, Lucas comes back with the two guys from before. He has that same smile on his face, the one that says he’s enjoying some inside joke that we are not privy to. “Queenie is running a little late. Her previous... engagement is taking longer than expected, but we can take you out to the back, and you can watch and wait there.”

“Watch what?” Cass asks.

“You’ll see,” Lucas says with a hint of mischief.

We follow them down the hall that Lucas exited through earlier and stop next to a door with a sign that says,“Employees only, enter at your own risk.”What the hell is that about?

“Know this now, anything you see in there is to be kept private. If you tell anyone about what happens in that room, may God have mercy on your soul.” I can only guess that he’s insinuating that if we talk, Queenie will make sure it will be the last time we do.

We all agree, and he leads us into a small viewing gallery. And what we lock our eyes on sends chills running through every cell of my body.
