They both suddenly looked uncomfortable.
“Which one of you is Seb?” The one holding onto Cassidy looked at me warily.
“Why?”
She giggled, and slapped his chest. “Are you scared of the tiny little woman, Seb?”
He glared down at her, and honestly it would have frightened me, but she just grinned back at him.
“I’m not afraid of anyone, baby. Yes, love, I’m Seb. Seb Bennett. Nice to meet you.”
I gasped, turning to look at Adam, who groaned and closed his eyes.
“For fuck’s sake. You bastards just exist to fuck me, don’t you?”
The two men named Bennett looked mildly disgusted with him.
“You want to watch your mouth, Butch? We have ladies present.” The one not called Seb said.
I looked at them. “You’re the Bennetts… the ones Harvey warned his dad about.”
Both of them looked at Adam then, almost identical expressions on their faces. Anger? Frustration?
