“You truly are wonderful,” Joseph told her as he bent down to kiss her lips and her cheek and her neck as his hand continued its work.

His fingers were so effective that she wasn’t capable of much more than a sigh in response. It felt so perfect to be with the man she loved that way. And she truly did love him. She’d set her sights on him months ago with only a vague feeling that he was right for her, but the adventure of the past few weeks had taught her that her instincts had been correct. Joseph was the mate of her heart, and she knew the two of them would have a happy and exciting life together.

Those thoughts twined with the pleasure he gave her, and in no time at all, the coil of bliss and tension within her burst into throbbing fulfillment. She cried out wordlessly, and as if he understood perfectly what it meant, Joseph shifted so that he could plunge inside of her.

Being one with him made everything even better, and within seconds, the two of them were moving together in a carnal twist of arms and legs and passion. Joseph thrust into her with gentle force, taking what he wanted, but giving so much in return. It made her feel warm and loved and as though she were the luckiest, most desired woman in all of England.

When Joseph reached that point where his body tensed and he went silent for a moment before letting out an immense sigh, Ellen laughed—not because she found his natural reactions funny, but because Joseph was simply the most wonderful man in the world, and she was ridiculously happy with him.

“I love you, my darling,” Joseph panted as they settled together, spent and overheated, but so happy with each other. “I will love you forever and always.”

“And I love you too, my precious Joseph,” Ellen said, snuggling against him. She didn’t care what anyone thought of her. With Joseph, she was the woman she was supposed to be, and he was her brave and glorious man.
