Finn nods and leans his elbows on the table. “I discussed everything with Mia last night. She said her dad.” He stops and looks over to Porter. “Shit, sorry.”

Porter scrubs his face and sighs. “It’s fine, keep going.”

Finn looks around for a second before he continues. “She said that he has friends, good friends, that are agents. She spoke with him last night and she said he’s willing to help. We set up a time and place, put a wire on Riley, get Agent McKay there and the good feds will come in and arrest him.”

“What’s he want in return?” Porter asks.

“Nothing,” Finn replies.

Porter shakes his head and normally I would argue. I know damn well someone isn’t helping without expecting something in return. It doesn’t work that way. But this plan is the only one we have and it’s a fucking good one. I don’t want to question what we’ll need to do because whatever it is, I’ll fucking do it. I’ll do whatever needs to be done to get past this shit.

“He’ll expect something in return,” Porter says.

“Do you know him?” I ask.

He shakes his head, clenching his fists on the table. “No, but I know he’s the reason my daughter has been kept away,” he hisses.

“Porter, maybe you should sit this one out. Let us handle it,” Brooks suggests.

“Hell no. Riley needs us all. I’m not going to sit back and let anything else happen. We end this shit now and deal with what happens because of his help later,” Porter says.

I nod at him and he grins. He’s a fucking good man who got fucked over by his ex. Who knows, maybe this whole thing will help him have a relationship with his daughter.

Brooks nods looking between me and Porter. “Alright, Riley text that piece of shit and tell him you need to talk. Tell him you can’t take it anymore and you’ll do whatever he wants to stay out of jail. Once we have a set place and time, Finn you make the call. Are they here in Vegas now?”

“Yeah, she’s at my place and he’s here but I don’t know where,” Finn says.

I waste no time and text that piece of shit agent while they continue to talk. I promised Gillian I wouldn’t leave until we had it all planned and I won’t. We’re so fucking close, we just need to finish it off. For the first time since this all happened, I feel optimistic.

I’ve learned a lot in these last few weeks. Things I never considered or thought were important are suddenly front and center. Pain comes in more than just the physical form. Longing is real and most importantly, Gillian is the absolute love of my life. I need her like I need air to breathe, like I need to fuck, like I need this club.

My phone alerts me and I look down at it.

Agent asshat : Took long enough. Meet me at the warehouse in an hour.

“Got it! The warehouse in an hour.” I look over at Finn and nod. “Make the call.”

“We all stay out of fucking sight. We go now and get in place. We have Riley’s back at all times. No one looks away for any fucking reason. When this guy makes his move, we move in for Riley,” Brooks says, standing up. “Riley, you going to be able to drive yourself?”

I nod, slowly standing up, using the table. “Yeah, I’ll take Gillian’s car instead of my bike. Now go because that prick likes to be early.”

Once they get the wire on me, they all rush out, while Finn has his phone to his ear. I’m not as quick making my way out. Gillian and Harper rush over to help me and I laugh.

“Two girls, I like this,” I say.

Harper laughs as we get to a chair. “In your dreams.”

I look up at Gillian and grin. “Nah, I’ve got the girl of my dreams.”

“Gross,” Harpers says, laughing as she walks away.

“You alright?” Gillian asks.

“Never better, but I need your car in about an hour,” I say.

She raises an eyebrow, pulling over a chair. “You guys finally figure it out?”

“It ends today, baby girl,” I say, lighting a smoke.
