I hadn't gotten to the point of thinking of kids, but when he mentioned Ilara, I’d automatically told him what I thought. It wasn’t a lie. I did want kids with her one day. “I’m not going to back out. I need to convince her I’m here to stay. Why don’t you help me with that? Maybe talk me up and tell her what a good guy I am,” I teased him.

“Fuck that, I can’t lie. You’re ugly as hell, dumb as a box of rocks, lazy, and you can’t string two sentences together. Why would I tell her to hook up with you and have kids?”

“Because that’s all lies, and it’s not hooking up. It’s going to be more than that. I’m going to marry her ass and that way she can’t run later. I’ll piss her off. I have to have extra insurance. And I’ll be the daddy to your grandkids. Just think about that.” I chuckled evilly.

“Fuck, little Outlaws running all over the place. I don’t think there’s enough alcohol for me to handle that. I think it’s best if I just kill you. She can live with me forever.”

“Ha, like you think my kids will be worse than what you’re spawning with Ilara. That woman is sweet as hell, but it’s not enough to override your devilishness.”

“So, you’re saying my daughter is the devil. Interesting. I need to have a talk with her.”

I stood up laughing. “You do and I’ll cut off your head and shove it up a horse’s ass. I don’t need help getting into trouble with her, I need help staying out of it.”

He walked me to the door laughing. Before he opened it, he got serious. “Get that PI on it, Outlaw. I need to know what her life was like growing up. I have a feeling there’s a lot to be made up for.”

“Me too. Don't worry, I'm here to make sure she gets what she should have had all along.” He squeezed my shoulder then opened the door. It was time to go see if my jewel was back from shopping. If not, maybe I could meet her and help with the rest of it.
