Nate turned to Lili and raised his eyebrows, motioning for her to ask the question.
Lili sighed. ‘What I want to ask is if assisted places or scholarships are ever offered to younger children who want to start in the preparatory school?’
‘Yes, all the time.’
Lili let out a sigh of relief. ‘Great. That’s all I wanted to know.’ She was about to get out of her seat again, when Nate asked, ‘What are those scholarships for?’
‘Music.’
‘Music?’ Nate glanced at Lili. ‘So, there isn’t a scheme for children from underprivileged backgrounds to get scholarships here at that age?’
‘There is a scheme, but not for children that young – only those of secondary school age.’
This wasn’t what Lili wanted to hear. She leaned forward in her seat. ‘This is probably a big ask, but do you keep records of former pupils?’
‘Ah, you want to know if we still haveyourschool records.’
