“If you’re not going to give me anything useful to work with, then I suppose you can just sit there like a good boy and let me get some actual work done as opposed to playing these puerile games with you.”

Deflection. That’s a nice little tidbit for later if I need it. For the first time since entering his office, I feel a frisson of anger as it reverberates around my skull and drops down my spine to swirl in my gut. “You will refrain from referring to me as a boy. Good or otherwise.”

Shrinky Dink sets his pen down and steeples his fingers together. “So, whose good boy are you then?”

My vision blurs as the questions bounce around in my brain. Fragmented memories collide and separate in my mind as they try to formulate an answer. Once more, Ryker’s voice flutters through the haze, making me tremble and quake inside.

I wasn’t really his good boy either. He said it often enough that it should have been true, but what he was really saying was, you were a good fuck today, Luke. You were a half-decent killer today, Luke. You didn’t really suck today, Luke.

Ryker might have said the words, “good boy,” but he never really meant it. But still, the memory of those two little words haunts me. They’re tattooed on the back of my skull, just waiting for the right moment to remind me that they’re there. Swallowing, I look back up at Shrinky Dink’s smug grin and recoil.

The idiot thinks he’s won. He thinks he’s stumbled onto something tangible, something he can bring to the others and go, look, he’s far too broken and damaged to be here. Let’s toss him out before he can get his taint on anyone else. I know that look on his face. I see that shimmer in his eyes. It’s victory.

My own lips curve into a smile as I push all my baggage back into the far corners of my brain. “Your mother,” I reply as if we’re having a polite conversation. “She said it to me just the other day when I railed her from behind.”

“Out. I want you out of my fucking office. And don’t even think of coming back and wasting my time.”

“Oh, goody. Can I have that in writing? I want the rest of the council to know that you’re signing off on me. That, or you’ve given up. Neither can be good for your reputation, though, I imagine.”

When he stands, I can feel the vibration of his anger with every step. It’s not huge. It’s subtle. The only way I can pick up on it is from years of training. When living with a monster, you end up learning the subtle cues that mean the difference between life and death.

If I had to make a guess, he’s furious. Probably just a bit under where he would be if someone threatened his woman. But he’s hiding it well. He’s keeping it locked up, at his command. I have to commend the man. It’s a fucking work of art. If I could learn anything from him, it would be that. How to be nearly unflappable in the face of extreme rage.

“You will leave this office now,” he grinds out. “Don’t worry. Unless you really fuck up, your place here is secure. But all that means is I have that much longer to figure you out and make you crumble before me.”

As I leave the room, I look back over my shoulder, watching as he tidies up his desk in a fastidious way, nothing like the haphazard piles Dean Anderson had. It’s yet one more clue in the mind of this shrink. Memo to self for next time, wear extremely wrinkled and dirty clothes.

“You might want to check up on Tasha McIntyre. She’s someone that might actually benefit from your expertise, seeing as I have no need. She can have my appointments.”

“It doesn’t work that way. You can’t give up appointments you no longer have. But I’ll check in on her. This better not be some stupid goose chase designed to waste my time.”

Shrugging, I leave the office with a wide grin on my face. Now to see to my little rabbit. I’m already riding the high of this meeting with the quack, so now, more than ever, I want to touch my girl, to feel her skin rippling under my expert handling.

Walking across the quad, I pull up the camera to her dorm room. She’s still not back yet, which gives me more than enough time to enact my plan. At first, I was just going to watch her get off, but now, I want to be an active participant. I still won’t fuck her, but I fully plan to drive her to the edge of madness, only to watch as she falls apart.

The walkway is silent, almost eerie. It’s getting later in the day, but there seems to be no traffic back and forth on the path. Do other students just instinctively know to avoid it? Every now and then, the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, as if someone’s watching me, but every time I turn around, there’s no one there.

I catch what could possibly be a lock of brown hair, but when I look again closer, it turns out to be either a dead branch or leaf. There’s no reason for me to be skittish here. Even if Micha was pursuing me, this is neutral ground. I can’t hurt him, and he can’t hurt me.

Soon, I climb the steps and enter Chi Sigma Delta. Near the door is the tray of masks, just like Dean Anderson said there’d be. Donning one, I head up the stairs to her room. Supposedly Todd, the guy in charge of all the tech, made it so that I could enter any room I please, but only one held my attention.

Lucky number thirteen. Resting my fingers on the doorknob, I wait for the soft hiss and walk in. It’s still pristine, untouched. I leave everything as it is but still amble around the space, drawing in her scent. It lingers in the room as if she’s about to pop out of the shower and greet me.

Opening the drawers, I take note of all the implements and grin. It’s like a candy store in here and beats anything that Malum has to offer. Not that Malum didn’t have its perks, but this smorgasbord of toys nearly makes me drool. There’s even an area that has all sorts of knives, far more than I’d need.

Once I get a lay of her space, I make sure everything is back to how it was and walk out the door, listening for the click as it locks behind me. At least I’ll know no one can come in and take her, only the other Dominants, but I’ll be watching, making sure my girl sleeps unmolested.

Walking back downstairs, I slink over to a shadowed corner and sit, training my eyes on the door. My cock pounds behind my pants, the zipper biting into my sensitive flesh. It makes me feel alive and ready to pounce. My little rabbit has no clue what awaits her when she gets home.
