Ford and Tanner had been told to stand by the cameras. As Aiden explained, if they choreographed a sex scene in which the view was blocked, the director was going to make them change it. So Ford and Tanner were supposed to let Aiden and Sierra know if they were angled in a way that would allow the camera to see their faces and other important body parts.

I hadn’t been given a job, but it was understood that it would be my role to help keep Sierra calm. This wasn’t going to be easy on her, though it was a lot better than making her do the scene for the first time tomorrow when they were filming.

Right now, she looked relatively calm as Aiden talked her through the scene. She had on shorts, an off-the-shoulder blouse, and sandals she could easily step out of. Tomorrow she would have to wear less, but at least she wouldn’t have to show her breasts on screen. She’d done what Aiden suggested and talked to that pig of an assistant director, Henderson, about it.

“So, I come over to you, tell you that I’m definitely not sleeping on the floor, and I lay you back on the bed,” Aiden continued. “Then I kiss you.”

Sierra nodded, looking calmer than I’d thought she would at this point.

Aiden continued on. “You resist at first, but then you start enjoying the kiss.” I almost expected him to say something suggestive after that. Like bragging about being a good kisser or saying that most women melted when he kissed them. But he didn’t. He was being more professional than I’d expected him to.

“After that, we have a couple of different ways we could go. They’ll definitely want us to roll around a bit. You’ll end up on top once or twice, but mostly I will. And they’ll want to show your stomach and the top of your panties, but as previously agreed, not bare breasts. Tomorrow you’ll have a strap across your chest. Sometimes you’ll have the sheet up to your chest but not all the time.”

The way he said it was almost apologetic. Was this professional really Aiden? If Tanner hadn’t been standing near me, I almost would’ve thought they’d switched.

“They’ll want shots of me kissing various parts of your body. And in the end, there will be some thrusting, but with two layers of fabric between us. If at any time you want to stop, just say so.”

Sierra nodded. “I will, thanks.”

“Ready to try this?”

She took a deep breath and shot a quick glance at me. I gave her as encouraging a smile as I could. “Yes.” Aiden got up, and Sierra went to her mark at the side of the bed. Aiden moved off to the side, out of view of the camera.

“Action,” he said softly, and he strode toward Sierra. He didn’t stop until he was right in front of her, towering over her. “Let me tell you what I think about your idea for me to sleep on the floor.” His tone was dark and dangerous.

Sierra tried to take a step back, but the bed was there. “We can’t possibly sleep in the same b—”

Aiden put his arm around her and lowered her onto the bed. “Who said anything about sleeping?” he growled.

Wow. He really could act. It was a little hard to fathom that one minute he’d been an ordinary guy like Ford and Tanner, and the next moment, he’d turned into this fierce, powerful, charismatic man.

Aiden climbed on top of Sierra, and while it looked hot, I could see how he was being careful not to put too much of his weight on her. But somehow, he managed to do that without looking like he was doing it.

Then he plunged his hand into her hair and fisted it. She gasped, whether for real or for the sake of the scene, I couldn’t tell. His mouth descended on hers, and she put her hands on his chest, trying to push him off—at first. But then she appeared to melt into the kiss. She wrapped her arm around the back of his neck and held him to her. She writhed on the bed and brought her knee up… in exactly the wrong spot.

“Shit!” Aiden said, rolling off her. I wasn’t sure if he’d taken a knee directly to the balls, but if not, it had been close. He continued cussing as he sat up on the other side of the bed, his back to Sierra.

“I’m sorry,” she said, jumping up and hurrying to his side of the bed.

Aiden held up his hand. “I’m okay, just give me a minute.” His voice sounded fairly normal. I’d half expected it to be an octave or two higher.

Ford and Tanner were watching him with sympathy in their eyes. And Sierra was clearly feeling awful. I hoped this wouldn’t discourage her from trying again. Aiden, either.
