“I thought women wore lingerie to bed.”

Maddie giggled. “We do—especially like when I spend the night at one of my girlfriend’s homes. Then we have pillow fights and paint each other’s toenails and give each other back rubs, and—”

“You’re killing me here, Maddie,” I said with a groan.

She laughed, sounding totally unrepentant. “You guys are the ones who started this line of questioning.”

“Kincade did, not me.”

“That’s right.” She repositioned herself, rolling over to face Kincade. I could tell that’s what she did because her sweet, round ass brushed against me for an all too brief moment. “Why did you want to know?”

“You just got me thinking, is all. About how women might dress for themselves versus dressing for a man.” He hesitated for a moment and then continued. “Would you ever wear lingerie to bed if you were by yourself?”

“Maybe.”

“Even if no one was there to see it?”

“Sure,” she said. “If it made me feel sexy, then yeah, I’d wear it. But only if it was comfortable. I can’t imagine sleeping very well if I had a tight corset laced up and could barely breathe.”

Crap. The image of her in a corset was not helping my current situation.

“Why do you want to know?” she asked again.

“We have a variety of shops in our casinos including a high-end lingerie store. I’ve seen men taking their girlfriends there and buying them lingerie. But I rarely see women going in there by themselves, and I wondered why that was.”

“I don’t have a boyfriend, but I’d still wear that kind of thing to make myself feel good—if I could find anything that fit.”

“You keep saying that,” Kincade said, “but it doesn’t make sense to me. You’re a beautiful woman, and you’re not overweight, so I don’t get why you say things like that.”

Shit. Had Kincade actually just brought up a woman’s weight with her? But even as I was using all my mental powers to send him stop-talking vibes, Maddie answered. “It has nothing to do with body issues, and everything to do with the fact that that stuff just plain old doesn’t fit me right. Most of it’s not built for a woman with my proportions.”

Kincade seemed confused. “But women come in all sizes and shapes.”

Maddie laughed. “Yes, but only one very narrow subset of sizes and shapes can shop in a lingerie store like that.”

Kincade was silent for a moment. “Well that sucks.”

“Yes, it does.”

“Is that why you sew?” I asked, reentering the conversation. “So that you’ll have things that fit right?”

“Exactly,” she said. “Though I enjoy it too. But it’s also a necessity. I made that dress I wore to the reception that first night.”

“You did?” Kincade was surprised.

“You looked gorgeous in that,” I said quite truthfully.

“Thanks.”

There was a minute or two of silence, and I wondered if the other two were falling asleep. I was planning to if I could get the throbbing in my cock to subside. I was still quite conscious of how close Maddie was to me. Then Kincade spoke up.

“Maybe sometime you can come out to Vegas.”

“That sounds awesome,” Maddie gushed.

“I could introduce you to the head designer and buyer of the lingerie shop. I’d like for you to give him some of your ideas and talk shop with him. Maybe that way we could sell some lingerie that more women could wear.”

“Really?” I could hear Maddie’s excitement. “I’d love that. I’d love to talk to him.”

“Good,” Kincade said.

Maddie rolled over and tapped me on the shoulder. “Could you excuse me for a moment?”

“Of course,” I said, surprised. Was she going somewhere? But then she turned away from me, and a second later, I heard a sound that was all too easy to identify.

She was kissing Kincade.

Strange thoughts filled me. Had his offer of a trip to Vegas really meant that much to her? Was I going to have to listen to him make love to her right here in the bed? Sure, we’d shared women before, but at the same time. Not one of us seducing her while the other one was excluded.

They kissed for a long time, and ironically, the erotic sounds they were making finally made my erection subside. I was happy for my friend, but this wasn’t how I’d pictured this night going.

Finally, it sounded like they were done. “That was nice,” Maddie whispered in the dark. “Could you excuse me for a moment?”

“Of course,” Kincade said, his voice sounding low and satisfied.

She rolled over again and put her hand on me. This time, she tugged on my arm. I turned toward her, and she immediately sank her fingers in the hair at the back of my head. She pulled me toward her, and that was all the encouragement I needed.

Her lips were damp and felt slightly swollen, but I didn’t care. It felt heavenly to finally hold her in my arms and stroke her back and that wavy hair while I ravished her mouth.
