Grady starts laughing as the woman moves past us. “Why are you laughing?” I ask him. He shakes his head looking to Mateo who is also now laughing. “What?” I snap at both of them. I look back at the woman as she makes her way up the stairs then I gag. There’s a used condom taped to her back along with a sign that says. I just fucked your wife. “Oh my God. Who the hell is that?”

“The town mayor’s wife.”

“I’m not even going to ask.”

“Probably best you don’t,” Mateo tells me.

“You three gonna crowd around at my door gossiping or are you going to come in and tell me what you want?” Happy crows from behind his desk looking like a kid at Christmas.

The three of us file into the office and there is only one chair so I take it because I don’t want my men fighting over who will have me sitting in their lap.

“Everything okay?” My Dad asks me as he stares at the three of us like he is trying to work out an equation in his head.

“Maybe I should be asking you that.” I hook my thumb toward the door.

He makes a don’t worry about it face. “Settling an old debt.”

“Right. Well I came to tell you something. Well we all did.” I square my shoulders, sitting up straighter.

He leans back in his chair and folds his arms over his chest. “I’m listening.”

“Well I—we decided that I don’t need to choose who I want to be with. I’m going to be with Grady and Mateo both.”

“You two into some gay shit I need to know about?” He sits up and motions between Mateo and Grady. I burst out laughing, especially since Soph basically mentioned that too.

“Fuck no,” they both answer simultaneously, glaring at me.

“Good. So how does this whole thing work. The two of you just share my daughter, passing her back and forth like a toy?”

“No,” Grady answers.

“We bought a house. Mickey Lester’s house,” Mateo pipes in.

“Sophia. Where is she in all this?”

I speak up. “She knows everything, and you should know that both Grady and Mateo want to claim me. I’m going to get both their marks after I have the baby. I just came here for your blessing not permission. I just want to make that clear.”

“Well, you seem sure and you’ve been through a lot, so if this is what is going to make you happy then I will support it. But the moment either of you two fuckers hurt my daughter or Sophia.” He reaches into his desk and pulls out a knife, studying both men intently, but lingering a little longer on Grady. “You’ll get what I’m known for.” The threat of his intent is crystal clear. My father got his name by giving people happy faces, slitting their throats from ear to ear.

“You’ve got nothing to worry about.” Mateo puts a hand on my shoulder. “I’ve asked Nikki to marry me and she’s accepted. Though, Ruiez will be part of the ceremony and they will say their own vows too.”

“Well guess there’s nothing more to say on the matter now is there?” He arches a brow looking at all of us.

“Nope. Guess we’re good, Dad,” I tell him.

“Damn, first I get a call that Tyler is living in a different damn country, and that he’s a fuckin’ pig. Now this, my daughter is marrying two men. Both complete fuck ups.” He sighs, rubbing his face but then looks up. A big smile spreads across his face. “You called me Dad.”

“I guess I did.”

“When you gonna be moving out of the condo?”

“This weekend, why?”

He strokes his beard. “Got a feeling I may need the place. I know a certain redhead who may need a place to stay soon.”

We all start laughing.

Happy walks us upstairs and he gets up on the bar. “I’ve got an announcement you filthy fucks.” He clinks a fork against a beer mug. The room falls quiet. “My daughter is finally home where she belongs. You all better treat her with the respect she’s earned. I’m proud to announce that Ruiez and Cruiz are joining my family. Both brothers have laid claim on Nikki. She’s Old Lady to them both. That’s all you need to know. Don’t want to hear shit all else about it. Now let’s party.”
